You are all free to PM the judges for your scores and their reasoning behind it (though it's up to the judges!)
Krit lost out by .4 to tie for third.
If you thought it was so poorly thought out I do not know why I had no feedback from you about it in the feedback thread

Because everyone thought it was Oda judging at first, but you decided mid way through to change the rules.
If there's no bias here, post all the scores.

i gave feedback in THIS thread right after everything changed after i submitted my work... next time decide on rules and judges and everything BEFORE you announce the contest and then stick to the rules you set in the beginning...

I'm offering to tell scores to people because I don't expect any credible claim of bias to be leveled at me. I didn't just record a score, I gave a reason for each one in each of the 3 categories, so I can review my notes if anyone has questions.
I think I gave everybody a fair shake. I was pretty critical of people's submissions because there wasn't a lot of wiggle room to pick a winner otherwise. Else there'd be a 35-way tie for first place. I didn't just give people points if the picture was funny. The rules expressly said the picture didn't count. So I can see why a few people are surprised the picture that garners the most laughs didn't get the best creative writing score.

If anyone wants to know what score I gave them (And my notes about the entry), private message me and tell me which picture was yours and I will reply there.

Although I'm not opposed to posting my scores here either since I'd like to know who I'm biased against.

I think the judges did well based on the rules stated in the first post. My only gripe is that I think this was meant to be a sort of quick and easy contest, so maybe the prize was a bit too lavish. Something like costume EWEs might have been more appropriate. But it doesn't really matter. I liked the entries. Congrats.

Just post the scores publicly.

Congratulations to all the winners. They are well deserved. When the entries were posted, I picked my favourites. Most of the winners were in that list. So it's not surprising and indeed, the judges have done a fabulous job. Really, great job guys!
Those who think that the judges have been biased towards to some players, should definitely feel sorry for themselves.
mean, why would one volunteer for something like this and waste one's time? If one does volunteer then one has wished to do so selflessly and in the interest of the community. Please respect that.
As a participant, I would request everyone to take this in the right spirit. For winners to be winners, someone has to lose.
Once again, thank you Sapphic for hosting such a wonderful event. Thank you to the judges, ZeroTigress, Jaye, NoxiousOrchid and Hoikarnage. And, once again, congratulations to the winners.

I had to deliberately submit as anon because at least one of those individuals is an extremely biased individual and I would rather they had nothing to do with anything. There's a lot of history there and tbh, people will jump to volunteer for stuff like that just to be "involved".
It's a good system, I just highly dislike some of the choices.

I'd prefer if all the scores were just posted on here. I don't spend a whole lot of time on the forum so I would prefer not spending half of it going over my notes every time someone wants to ask. I only offered to judge if there was a lack of people volunteering.

I want to make it clear that I based my scores on the writing, as this was purely a writing contest. Images were not taken into account. I was adamant from the start about that.
Also, I stayed away from this thread and only used the links that I was sent for judging, so even now, I still don't know which submission belongs to who, and I plan to keep it that way.
Here are the exact scores I sent Sapphic. If you feel I judged you too harshly, don't take it personally. I didn't take anyones feelings into account, I judged based on the guidelines set in the contest rules.
I'm not even sorry if you don't like how I scored. If you don't like it you can always go back to Oda's eccentric scoring method, but he judges based admittedly on his personal taste, and rarely the guidelines set forth by the contest organizers.
(here is the link Sapphic sent the judges, which is conveniently numbered: http://imgur.com/a/DKoXg#0)

I told Sapphic mine would be hard to read if the thumbnail was used for judging so I linked a full size copy and PMed about it. Was told that would be fine.
Ended up being judged on the thumbnail.
Judge said it was hard to read.

I didn't see any thumbnail. The hard to read part was a comment on the font, but that's not why you received a three in that category.
Your submission simply wasn't clever or creative. You just took the exact story concerning Tristan Gaeblog III and asked people to go find him.
You may as well have said, "Poring: Wanted for looting players."
Again, nothing personal, everyone was anonymous to me.
I have a feeling posting my scores will make a lot of people dislike me, but screw it. I'm all for full disclosure.

You did get an extra point in the first category because you picked a character not many people would have thought to pic.

I think it did suffer from the thumbnail, because it was hard to read. However;
If yours was the one I think it was, it was too long/wordy and hard to read, so it lost technical points. The rules specicailly said don't write a paragraph-long story, to just stick to a brief explanation to make the posters quick to read and understandable, and a few people broke that rule, so unfortunately I took off points because I interpreted your letter from captain of the guard as violating that rule.

Creativity/Concept: 5 - interesting and unique topic
Appeal: 4 - uses RO lore effectively, but is somewhat dry.
Technical: 3 - difficult to read, too wordy
Average: 4 / 5

Interestingly, that is kind of how I feel about you, and I significantly doubt anyone involved in this panel matches your description, so I'd outright bring your judgement into question on that matter alone. Honestly, it is obvious you are projecting. Since you are biased against an individual you assume they can be only biased toward you.

I made mine with the assumption Oda was going to be judging and didn't go back and redo it even though we had the chance.
The judges have been super nice though and I can really appreciate their honesty. Big props to Tame for just putting his honesty out there.
Constructive criticism can go a long way.
Almr, if it makes you feel any better, yours was beautiful.
Some of my friends who don't play RO loved it from a looks point of view.
I should have spoken up form the start though. This had me puzzled on why you would judge a poster with writing.
Even on those classroom or workplace motivational posters, you notice the silly kitten handing from a wire or whatever other cute animal or scene.
