If you're gonna join a party most of the the time, they will be surely a lv.230 cleric along, so in this case, the priority is getting Healing Skills.

Then Buffs -> Fires/ Flames -> The rest

--------------------------------------------------------

On the other hand, if you reckon you will sometimes have to solo using your fs muse +  your fighter then getting some of the buffs at level 1 would be beneficial in my opinion.

Why just level 1?

Because as you level the amount of CHARM you gain is not that great to make much difference on your buffs (For example 10% + aaa  <- Yes, this 'aaa')

So even getting a couple of dozen more buff amount doesn't do you good, in my opinion.

Why some but not all?

While I level my fs muse, I actually build him with some AoE in offensive trees and some buffs, plus some heal.

Ex)

1) Haste buff (10% base + a % Attack speed), it's not much and I was aoeing most of the time so I exluded this.

2) Accuracy buff, don't really need this in PvM unless you're 50 fighting lv120 mobs =)

Instead I get some fundamental buffs at level 1: HP/ Defense/ Attack power/ Enhance damage/ Movement speed (Optional: MP/ Critical)

----------------------------

Other than these buffs, you can get Bonfire and heals to support your fighter as well your parties.

Seeing that some of the buffs doesn't do really well at low level, low charm, I didn't get it.

Hope I could help somehow. There will be more advices and recommendations coming from the community here, they're very helpful and friendly. Good luck.

Hi and welcome!

When I made my first fs cleric, my friend and I knew we would be using our own buffs to level so I maxed the 6 buffs you get as a muse and also bonfire and cure and heal. When you add skill points to the single target buffs (called charms) you can also have the corresponding party buff (called chants) for no additional skill points. It costs less mp to use party buffs than to buff more than one person individually. Even tho the "better" buffs won't be available unitl you get the cleric skill tab, extra hp and mp and extra magic resistance and defense are always useful imo and eventually you would be maxing them all anyway. You should also max Mana Conservation in the common skill tab.

The main thing is to get as much charm as possible for your cleric. High charm items are not cheap but now with the enchantment scrolls, you can always get items with good base charm and then later add the +30  charm substat. There is an excellent guide here  http://forums.warppo...s-v528-updated/  There is probably more information than you want atm but if you check the spoiler for fs cleric, buff slave, you can see the items in the game with the highest base charm. That way you know what to aim for in regards to equipment. The best item that goes in the glove space can be gotten easily and for free by doing a simple task. Pm me and I can give you the details :)

Remember when it comes to skills, guides are fine but you should do what works best for you and your style of playing. Same is true with stats. Since my cleric never fought, I only added charm till the stat was maxed (400) then added int till the cleric was max level. I used the Wand of Wonder from the IM until my cleric could equip the Amazing Brush (lvl 2xx) because the Wand of Wonder does not have any requirements other than level 20. It has mp consumption 30% so that also helps esp at low levels. If you can't do that, try to get the lowest level wand you can, preferrably with a charm substat. Some people will add a mix of int and charm and if you do that you can get some of the passives in the common skill tab. Depending on which skill, they can add to your total mp or mp recovery rate. I maxed those later, after I started adding to the int stat.

Even if you sometimes party with a bigger group with a high lvl cleric buffing, it's still good to be able to continue training and leveling when you can't find a party like that. Your muse buffs might be weak but they will get stronger as your charm number increases.  Making a fs cleric is is a hassle at times, but it's well worth the effort.

Good luck and have fun!

Hello :)

You can do this.

Wear a staff and learn aoes for staff, but at level 100 you choose the Class cleric but still countiune do have aoes. When you are at level 230 you can do a free skill/stat reset at Darren in Junon and change into a full support cleric. ;)

Some people level a fighting class along with the cleric.  If you can do that then make your cleric full support with buffs, heals and some of the defensive skills.  If you don't want to do that then maybe build as a battle cleric or mage as Buffies said for the lower levels and reset later on.  Sometimes it is hard to find parties to level with and if you really go full out FS then it will be hard to level.  As Honey said check the guides, they help a lot.
