START:

 

Step 1:

 

Start off by paying a visit to Turpeco in Morroc just south of the inn.

 

 

Turpeco tells us he is entering a beauty contest!

 

He repeats himself a lot, so make sure you let him know that you have heard it before!

 

He wants to make himself shine! He asks us to bring him 50 jellopy.

 

After giving him the 50 jellopy he smears them all over himself to look shiney!

 

Step 2:

 

After some creepy dialogue Turpeco needs our help again!

 

 

We need to help thin out the competition!

 

Go kill 30 peco pecos.

 

 

Return to Turpeco, and he will ask you to go see Judge Oda.

 

 

Step 3:

Enter the Inn and ask Oda about the contest.

 

 

Oda tells us that it is actually a battle royale! If turpeco enters he will get eaten!

 

Go back and talk to Turpeco.

 

Step 4:

Turpeco is understandably upset, and has the idea to make Oda want to use a different food!

 

He will give you a list of food to give oda to try instead.

 

Bring Oda one of the following:

 

 Meat

 Egg

Fish Tail

Fresh Fish

Tentacle

Grape

Potatos

Strawberries

 

 

NOTE: Items are consumed and it appears to be a random one for each person.

Me personally it took 5 tentacles.

 

 

After bringing Oda a new food he tells us that it is delicous and that Turpeco is safe!

 

Return to Turpeco for your reward!

 

REWARD:

this quest script is so creepy. first you need to kill 30 innocent pecos that have no idea about that beauty pageant. then, the organizer will kill all the pageant participants.
creepy, really creepy.

The EXP reward was 500K to both Job and Base. At least to my lvl 78 character

i def noticed it... also dig the pecos being turpecos... but why wasnt the NPC a turpeco too?

it doesn't look like anything is left behind in your quest log, so it may only be a one time thing.  the turpeco hints at something coming in later possibly???

I was wondering if it was repeatable, too. But it looks like more parts are going to be added as we get closer to Thanksgiving.

The Oda NPC won't respond for some reason.   (Finished killing 30 pecos)

 

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

cause you need to talk to the turpeco, not oda

I spoke to the peco and it asked me to talk to Oda :3

 

(Worked on my GX, but my Smith still can't talk to the NPC)
