Though... isn't it the case that kRO did the original sprites and jRO did the 2nd generation designs?

Some of the 3rd Class designs are such a departure from their job tree, it's hard to tell what's what.

I think they wanted it to look like a huge departure because it was a whole new job, instead of a trans version of the same job. Compare like archer -> dancer. Way different. Or Acolyte -> monk. Way different. The only time you changed jobs and looked "similar" to how you did before was 2nd->trans, but that was intended to be like that... since you were an upgraded version of the same job, not a new job.

Why are there so many redesigns for 3rd Classes?? I don't recall having this issue with trans and 2nd Classes.

There's been only redesign, and it was to rune knight.

 

What is being discussed is a new cash item feature to vary up the look of all 3rd classes to an alternate outfit, as part of a "fashion" system.

This was because back during the Era of Gravity being the big company without needing other companys buying shares into it(GungHo), all art for classes were designed by Lee Myung-jin. However with companys such as GungHo buying into the shares of Gravity, other artists are introduced to the mix, including artists such as AkkeyJin(pen-name) and Okamoto(again, pen-name) and so idea's clash and such. We get the end result. 3rd class wasnt even all designed by Lee Myung-jin, he was reported to have only done preliminary sketches for five of the classes. Go figure yes?

Man, they're really holding out on Geneticists.

I just noticed that the male SC looks really similar to the Shadow Chaser NPC in the middle of El Dicastes.

Yeah apparently they're having a hard time drafting up a costume for Gen. Several designs have been scrapped and none have made it to the dot stage.

 

They even made a statement about it, acknowledging that the Gen costume was a very popular topic of conversation, and that they want to be sure they've satisfied community demand before they release it.

As long as they take their time to make sure the design will satisfy everyone first, then there's no issue at all.

OH SNAP, those look amazing. Female RG needed more than a metal bikini. XD

 

Rogues looking all regal. With a green palette and a beret they would look awesome.

 

Also, we need more plushies like those. I'm sure people would pay the hefty dollar for actual droopings.

I must say new RG outfits, both genders, look so awesome. They now look more like real "Royal guard" with all prestige from the armors and the cape.

I like that the RG's both look fully clothed and regal.

 

I don't like either shadow chaser design, really. They have potential, but something is awkward about them. The posture of the woman's legs mostly...

It's good! I liked the Hodremlin shoulders, so I'm a bit sad they're gone, but the rest of the outfits are such an improvement, the disappearance of the Hodremlin shoulders hardly matters. Very nice!
