You can also add Brasilis and have a temp TI it's actually a very good map to level in and also has lots of nice seal quest items + there's a prenewal version c:. It only has 3 unique monsters in the dungeon and with the field being very forgettable in terms of items + leveling it won't make a big dent in your mob limit.

The field contains these uniques:

  • Headless Mule aggro Lv80
  • Jaguar Lv71
  • Toucan Lv70
  • Curupira Lv68

You can also find Dokebis and Savages there.

The Dungeon contains these uniques:

  • Iara Lv79
  • Piranha aggro Lv75
  • [MVP] Boitata aggro  Lv93

You can also find Hydras, Marinas and Plankton there.

It's a very balanced location. Can find TI items and ores in the field, seal items and weapons in the dungeon, and there's a new MVP to comp. Could always buff the area if players find it too easy.

Plus like Zleep said, it's a Pre-Renewal location. Is it possible to request something from kRO?

Did you follower the later Dragon Quest games, Camp?

I pretty much played every incarnation and spinoff they've released.

I would even try 10 if they released it here.

Updated the OP. Regarding the limited number of monsters we have available, I want to get an informal poll going from you guys: what monsters do you think are currently redundant/can be repurposed for making into useful monsters for new content? We are hesitant to use the mvp/miniboss mob spawn monsters, since those were put in to prevent people from farming the boss slave spawns.

New world update or Dragon turn ins for Christmas?

We're testing some endgame stuff this week. Thank you for the suggestion for redundant monsters.

That was me in the OP. Haven't played the later ones, but maybe it's because I've never been that familiar with Akira Toriyama designed stuff.

Dragon Quest IX was my first nintendo DS game. I bought the system and the game during an extended power outage where I lived.

We may never get to see Dragon Quest 7 remake anywhere outside Japan from now on. As they don't think what they will make is worth the localization fees.  But, fans have been signing a petition to show that there is a few fans still out there. http://www.ign.com/a...on-nintendo-3ds

The drop rate changes are not just for low level users. With the project we have two goals.

1. Try to address the short supply of certain WoE supplies by providing new sources besides the same old leveling maps.
2. Identify forgotten event monsters whose DB numbers aren't being used so that we can stop using new world monsters and hopefully put the new world content in game.

3. Cleaning up some of the more glaring drop issues where monsters aren't dropping anything useful or characters of a certain level will have supply issues.

This week we were going through monsters levels 1-10. Next week the plan is to go through monsters 11-20.

We are also internally testing the Nidhoggurs instance to make sure the script and instance is functioning as it should. We don't have plans to change it we just want to make sure it works.

Renewal got alot of attention last month due to their update so were focusing our energy on classic for the next month.

Ohhh my bad! You should check them out if you ever get some time.

I don't think you would be disappointed. DQVIII was probably the one most Americans consider the  "Best"

I think IV will always be my favorite due to childhood memories.

I loved IX and even did a solo play through with only one character.

Fun times.

I'm sorry if we have been pretty mean, sometimes we just need to let off some steam when we feel ignored. :/

Hearing you say this is a huge relief and has me excited for the (hopefully near) future. Thank you.

Will the spotlight be changing to Veins / Nameless this week? Its changing to New World on Renewal, which we don't have access to.

Good news is the Nyd dungeon is working and we might be able to put it in next week. We also identified a group of event monsters that are unused and can be used for challenge dungeons.

The spotlight is changing to Hugel, so Thanatos Tower, Odin's and Abyss lake will be spotlit.

Is this part of a fixed rotation? If so when will we get nameless?
