how do i access the chats i received from the previous days? there should be a log of it all right? help?

If you use the /savechat command, it will write everything currently visible in all of your chat tabs (current client, not all open clients) to one text file per tab.

 

The files get created in the "Chat" directory where you've installed RO.

 

EDIT: Most likely what you saw was someone just copying/pasting from the text file after using /savechat.

Manually saving using /savechat is the only way to record chat. 

 

I would assume the GMs have access to some level of chat logging.
