Runtime error, an invalid parameter was passed in C Runtime environment. Something like I don't know, an int being passed when the function expects a char.

Nothing you can do about it, its a coding error or potentially a bad build. Only fixable by Gravity and will remain an annoyance for you until its corrected.

Its fixable, just delete dll's from new client that are causing errors and replace them with ones from old client.

You have lags because of their sh1tty shader, and he is linked with dll's also...
And since A team in this company have no clue how to code (or how to "translate" game to another progr language), maybe you can try to run game in compactibility mode fow win XP, with admin rights.

Yea, shader is clunky. They use branching in the shader. This is because they combined the alpha and specular level into the alpha channel. So it decides to separate them at the shader level. This causes several unnecessary calculations per pixel and does branching which SM2.0 is not too good at.

When I saw the code for the first time, I thought it was pretty cool. It maximizes the bits available. By splitting it like they did they allow the specular and alpha to have 7 bits each. So in the DX5 compression they used, it equates to only 16-bits per pixel. However, its unnecessary with computers made after 2004 on textures that are max 512x512. Now it just drags down the processing time.

If you want an easy hands on explanation of what cleffy is saying, go try to play the witcher on alpha settings with your current rig and see what happens.

A member from my guild had the same problem. To resolve this issue, he log at client with patch 672 and relocate the char.

The textures crash (builds doesn't show up) could happens while play. Just disappear.
