Oh,

it's hard to say. It can come from every component you could imaginge.

From the power suppy to the CPU or video card - everything is possible. So this is not easy to answer.

If you don't have some parts to change or test, this will be a really problematic thing.

If I would have to choose I would say one of these (but this is also no guarantee):

  • Power Supply
  • Video Card
  • Motherboard/Mainboard
  • CPU

My Mainboard is

Mainboard : Asrock 880G PRO3 Mainboard Sockel AM3 880G DDR3 ATX

CPU : amd phenom tm ii x6 1090t processor 3.20 ghz

RAM : 4x 4GB

Graphic Card: AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series

I dont know my power supply, but its a 800W thingy, i exchanged that a few times bcause i thought it was broken, when i had issues with my old hdd, SSd, now i have a new ssd, working fine on anything

I don't think it is the type of the component, more that one of them COULD be broken.

hm ok ... well i bought this pc in 2011... i asked a friend he said the mainboard is rlly old.

I wanted to buy a new graphics card since some games i wanna play cant handle my card oO

but i have no chance to test out if that would increse my fps.

my processor has 3.2 GHz.. and since its only 1 core that dragonsaga uses i can maybe get a cpu with better GHz per core? :s

but dont know how to look for it in the internet, rlly dont know what is good or what isnt,..

Hi,

as I said, theoretically your system is good enough to handle this game. And I can't not really give you an advise what components have to be replaced or could be broken maybe. All what I told you are collected experiences over the last years, not only with DS, but also with other hard- and software.

I can't and I don't want to tell you what you should replace or buy, because everyone made his own experiences with different hardware, manufacturers, etc.

I always buy AMD CPU/Video Cards since years now, whereas others prefer Intel/nVidia combinations. You can always start discussions about what is better or faster or more compatible to different games and applications, but this is not what I want to do here now, because it depends on personal experiences and personal preference.

The next problem is, if you decide to buy a new CPU, you will definitely need a new Mainboard, no matter if it will be an AMD or Intel CPU, because none of the CPUs of this generation will match your Mainboard's CPU socket anymore.

You see, there are many problems and considerations which have to be made, so I think there are better places in the internet to inform yourself. It would go beyond the scope of this forum.
