I seem to have heard there are 2 types of methods with different results. For example, let's say I have a HBP compounded with a raydric card. The 2 outcomes would be:

1. I remove the card and the card is destroyed, but I get to keep the HBP with all the refine levels etc. intact.

2. I remove the card and the HBP is destroyed, but I get to keep the card.

I'm not sure as to how to go about achieving these 2 outcomes, can anyone elaborate on it?

AFAIK, Option 1 doesn't exist in game. But Option 2 is available. But you'd have to send in a ticket to get your card out while losing the equip it's carded in.

 

Edit : You need to have a "Heroic Desocketing Book" for the GMs to desocket your equipment.

there are 2 ways:

a. use heroic desocketing book <~ this will destroy the equipment and keep the card.

b. there's card remover NPC in malangdo. cost 1m but the success rate is too low! however you can use lubricant's/oil(i don't know what they called it) too boost the success rate. but its too expensive and the success rate is unknown.

 (i never tried it before. too risky and expensive)

So in other words there is no way to safely preserve the equipment while destroying the card?

you can remove the equipment from the card basically :v

Oh I wish there was way to save both the card and equipment when desocketing. I would pay big bucks for it $$$

Lol actually I would think that this should be a basic function of the game to allow uncarding, and preserve both card and gear

 

But I guess it's their way of making sure there isn't an endless supply of gears/cards?

There wouldn't be too much of a problem if it was really pricey to do so though. Hmmm.
