I think they took out the manual confirmation part, if it's not just me I'd like to know. That was my beef with it mostly 'cause of the waiting time.

New accounts have had the 24 hour delay for years (there were several farmers committing thousands of $ of CC fraud against gravity) - the issue is just that now we've ALL had to make new accounts for the warp portal system. The verification was not there at first, either (i bought points with no delay a couple days after launch).

I think warp portal, on the whole, will make life much easier for everyone. It's a bit rough on the setup though. They should have opened it for registration and linking to game accounts, and then switched payment over once people had had a chance to get their accounts linked to it.

And they should have made adding old accounts cancel the verification delay.
