I'm making a pure hindsight Scholar. The planned stats are like 99 AGI, 99 INT. I intend to use this mainly for PVM.

 

For the equipment, what should I focus, the MATK (INT) or ASPD (AGI)?

Is Ledger of Death with Cecil Damon Cards the best weapon for this build?

 

Naming useful gears and cards for this build will be highly appreciated. For example, I don't know what headgears I should aim for.

Yes. 

 

9x agi, max int, rest to vit or dex is typical.

 

Another option is going high vit and max int and depending on mob + reflect to kill. I haven't done this one, yet. Just an idea.

 

Gears depend on what buffs you will use. If you will be using aid zerk potion (alchemist + link) then you can go a bit less agi and still hit 190 aspd if geared for it. Or if your going with AAR ect ect.

 

REGARDLESS, items that would have a very large benefit and I would recommend regardless.....

 

Ledger of Death (high +) as a wep

Thorny Buckler with Bison Horn for shield and accessory (obviously imp/siroma)

A second imp/siroma (pref earring, bison horn depending on hitting aspd bonus or matk so depend on rest of gears)

 

With 99 int/99agi/25 dex you can easily get 184-186 aspd (depend on cecils) with bless/agi/agi food. That is 0.30~0.25 second per hit depending on cecil and gear mentioned above. So to your question about ASPD gears or +MATK gears... Up to you, really. I opt for demon mask + incu horns for 190 aspd (0.2 secdons per hit). You'd have to sit on a calc vs your target PVM mob and figure out which is better. Doing an extra attack (or 2 vs 184 aspd) every second vs doing ~20% more damage. I think if the difference is a mob will die in 1 (double bolt) proc from hindsight with MATK gear and will require 2 with ASPD gear... I would go with the MATK. However if they are big and beefy then I'd go for ASPD just because it will drop a lot more bolts over an extended amount of time.

 

For other gears, possibilities include pantie + undershirt for more agi. Varriants or + agi shoes. I go with +3 int valk armor and a DR, personally, but I can get 190 aspd already without depending on us+pantie or anything. There are a lot of equipment options, but the thorny + LoD is staple. 

 

edit: OP probably already knows, but incase anybody else is thinking about making one... Make sure you marry a linker so you can get kaahi.
