I had no idea monk had it that badly, classes seem to vary greatly by how good or bad Eddga is for them BM loses too much vigor, monk loses half a character, while a few don't feel much difference (SM if I'm not mistaken?); the only surefire upgrade for all classes is the weapon. But I do definitely agree that Eddga should only have one CLS rune per piece of gear, because it's just too much when stacked up; the point I was trying to get across is that it is good to not have one centralizing armor piece and allow people to explore their options.

 

The issue is that it's a "too late" situation - do you think WP coders have the capabilities to remove a slot from each and refund the rune into the owner's bags? Given that our monster summon window still shows 1000 pets, I doubt it.

Not so sure if this is sarcastic or not, but I was using the Nice Database by most parts.

First of all, keep in mind that I haven't tested all these values!
The vigor rate doesn't seem to be the problem for beastmasters:

Beastmaster Cazar vs. Eddga:
AGI -1108pts
Parry -576pts
Vigor -352pts
Haste -309pts
 

Instead, warriors & knights lose the highest amount of vigor (-515 // -559pts).
And the overall winner of the FP gear are Priests... Soulmakers lose too much cast speed & vigor.
 
Priest Cazar vs. Eddga:
AGI -301pts
Crit -414pts
Parry -312pts
Cast -594pts
Vigor -125pts
 
Cast speed is irrelevant because most DoTs and heals don't benefit.
And the minor loss of AGI & Crit. could be compensated.
 
And it's also not true that weapons are strictly better... Soulmakers lose Hit, monks lose AGI.

All this wouldn't necessarily be bad. At least there seems to be an idea behind it! But this concept fails terribly, mainly due to the +50 runes... and CLS runes.

As for the 'too late' situation: If they want to, they'll find a way!!!
 
They could give away 'free' rune removers (with an expiry date) and pronounce that there will be an upcomming 'fix'. At that day, remaining runes would be removed and added in the temp. storage (with no reclamation). But even then, you'll have to consider that players might have overwritten their normal original runes, so that might require some additional care.
 
But to me, it's the question whether they want a balanced game or not, because as it stands now, the one-shot mania, the hatred inside PvP, etc. will all see an all-time high, maybe even resulting in another decline of ingame population. And to ruin things first, just to enlist VCRs for a class-rebalance thereafter feels even more like a bad joke.

You should also take into consideration that some class gears have less honing results than other class. For example honing results of warrior/knight gears are way way better than priest gears.

At least we know it'll take years for someone to get full eddga before WP fixes the drop rates in 2016 :P

At least we know it'll take years for someone to get full eddga before WP fixes the drop rates in 2016 :P

 

assuming they adjust the drop rng but we never know now..I think that i only need a year to collect eddga coins for full eddga gears..minimum 6 months

Why are you talking about fixes about drop rates? We already know how Gravity fix these things:
Devirucky picture book--->ignored
Dim crystal from dismantling--->added to Dapara for mp
Cazar equipment--->added to npc for mp or bp
Pillarnium---> added to Dapara for mp
Now explain me why do you think Eddgar will be different?

If you have a guild who is able to cycle the FP map bosses (eddga excluded since he's very hard), with two characters I'm able to get about 80 combined coins daily, so it takes roughly a week to get one piece of two star (blegh) armor, and two weeks for the weapon. The other way is to buy other people's tokens; at roughly 300-400z a pop you can farm one Osiris card (1-2 hours) and sell it to buy ~63 of them. I wouldn't really mind the token method of obtaining Eddga if it dropped higher than 2 stars.

Just as an update; a random merchant during FP grinding fropped a 5 star Eddga Dual Dagger for me. It's not something you hear happening often so the droprate is probably astronomically low, but it's a reminder that a looter is pretty mandatory in FP grinds. At least I now have something to trade for my spear!
