That depends on replay record settings. I didn't have gear or item window recorded in the replay you quoted. Some of the other replays in the thread should have them recorded though.

I just asked cause I tried making a video one time but it didn't show what I did, you had to manually open everything so I wasn't able to use it, as it didn't show what items I'd used.  Thanks.

Celine Kimi

Used Volcanic Ash, Volcano (level 3), Fire Earth Insignia, Song of Lutie, Frigg's Song, and Epiclesis. Forgot to bring some consumables though (Mental Potion and Bathory trans candy), and it's without Full Throttle, which I didn't get because of the long cooldown.

Rune Knight, Geneticist and Arch Bishop vs Endless Tower

 

The goal was 40 minutes or less. Unfortunately we ran into some issues and a party member had to AFK at floor 90.

 

I got affected by the Refresh-Quagmire bug on Fallen Bishop floor and had to run back up the tower (relogging or changing map server is the only way to fix it). I didn't know about this bug at the time. If I did, I wouldn't have been affected by it.

 

Fallen Bishop was killed by RK to save HE Gum. If RK weren't on gum we would have killed him with Gene as that would have been quicker.

 

The death on Entweihen Crothen floor is intentional to make the Thorn's focus their skills on the RK's corpse (the Gene's death on mini Valkyrie floor was not though, lol). Unfortunately, this strategy no longer works.

 

Naght Sieger was able to finish casting Full Heal because we forgot to use Volcanic Ash, oops!

No, I'm not the first person to kill her with a DB RK.

For the record, nodelay wasn't used. As can be seen in the first second of the video, the RK's sprite isn't missing any animation frames.

As for why I'm able to hit Randgris with DB, that's a secret. I don't know whether the person who told me about it would be fine with making it public knowledge.

His playstyle is very gimmicky. RKs have much better skills to use on jRO, but he's probably just playing what he enjoys and there's nothing wrong with that.

I don't consider it a secret! Just a lesser known curiosity of elemental calculation.

 

If people want the knowledge, they're free to ask you, me, or anyone else who knows--I'm just not as open to sharing with people I don't know! 

 

You have a propensity for game knowledge, Zayaan, and a desire to show new strategies and projects to the community. I appreciate that a lot, so the Rune Knight-killing-Valkyrie (or any other holy monster) is something I brought to you since I haven't seen you actually do it prior. You're only one of a handful that I respect enough to share my own vault of knowledge with, without prior inquiry; seeing a video from you of it in action means that I think it's time more people know, too. (Yes, this is likely the definition of a bromance )

 

 

If something has 0% elemental effectiveness (see: holy 4 monsters), your Dragon Breath & Water Dragon Breath will miss. If you use Volcano or Deluge, it will increase that elemental effectiveness vs. all monsters by a flat 20% (if level 5). This means your 0% elemental effectiveness vs. Holy 4 monsters is now 20%, thus, you are able to hit them.

 

This remains true for any Fire 2 & Water 2 monsters, as well. Their 0% elemental effectiveness vs. fire/water property will become 20% with a level 5 Volcano or Deluge.

 

However, should the monster be Fire 3+ or Water 3+, we now go into the range of negatives. A Water 3 monster takes -25% from water damage. With Deluge Level 5's +20% added to it, it's still -5%, so your Water Dragon Breath will still miss. The same is true for normal Dragon Breath vs. fire monsters of equivalent tier.

 

Note: this works with any elemental conflict this game has. Chain Lightning can hit Wind 2 monsters with a Whirlwind in place. Chain Lightning can hit Valkyrie Randgris with a Whirlwind in place. It's pretty cool stuff. I don't use my Warlock or Sorcerer very often, but it sure does make the ability to kill certain things with less effective methods a fun option if you want to give it a try.

 

It's a shame there is no earth-boosting equivalent to the land skills. Magnetic Earth just protects you from ground-based casts. Who cares about not taking damage??? I want my boosts! 

To be fair, all the earth-based skills in this game are kind of trash anyway.
