Is angeling carded armor effective against attacks from biolab04 mobs?
#53
Posted 26 May 2015 - 07:37 AM
The best armor is the Unfrozen Typhoon, but armors with dokebi and angeling works fine.

What role do SC's do best inside? AS or JF? Or maybe Frost Misty?

most chasers go for jack frost

if you dont play mechanic right it will slow the party down. as with any class u have to be on point.
1. is most efficient randel killer under strings spamming arm cannon.
2. use pile bunker to remove DA from randels and the buffs from any mini bosses.
3. infared scan to lower flee so the rangers wont miss.

i use cast reduction gears and temp dex boots so arm cannon instacasts under string. spamming 70k armcannon to randel per sec is beast using dark balls and cursed water.real mechanic:

in team with so many RK i also love to spam stealth field on every wing to protect those squishies (you must stock HP gears and reduction to do this since all mobs targets you).
use front slide or backslide to save yourself from mobs. remember when yoi died, it means you need to go back to town to get mado. so, dont die.

Your survival mainly relies on Camouflage, Hiding, positioning and knowing when/where to move. You have a few seconds of immunity after Gwinging, during which the Sorc should already have setup an ME. Don't stand with the rest of the crowd so you're not constantlyl hit by Fire Balls.
Arrows of choice are Shadow, Earth, Wind and Holy. Immaterial is good too but Celia should die to RKs quick.
Switch to an Anti-Medium shield when you're getting hit, especially by Chen or Gertie because they can see through Hiding.
Use Elemental proof potions (you can ignore Earthproof). Use gears and cards thar increase reduction instead of those that just add like 1-2 Dex or Atk (Hanky/Peace Pipe > Pencils/GScarf/PDagger).
Geneticist:
Just a note on Crazy Vines: Try not to use it near where your main party is, because if the Sorc casts ME, it will be shredded by your Vines. Use it far from where your main party is standing.
Shadow Chaser:
Your skills of choice are Frost Nova, Storm Gust and Jack Frost.
Frost Nova works against Water property targets (Chen) so it may be preferrable over Storm Gust and Jack Frost.
You can choose to have only one reproduced skill, or one with Intimdate and another with Reproduce. You should make your reproduced skill your main skill, because Celias can dispel your Preserved skill away and there's a good chance you'd lose it. Stay away from Celias and their Sight so you don't get dispelled. Use Feint Bomb (if you arent standing on ME) and use Preserve asap if Dispelled. You can also just Hide, but you have to be fast.

Warlock can pull mobs by using JF/FM & Soul Expansion w/ level 3 radius. If got mobbed he can use frost nova or White Imprison.
It can also kill chen w/ spamming chain lightning if your RK got lazy (that's what i do)

warlocks make pretty decent randel killers with hell inferno

I do 130K+ to randels and its usually chen or the performers that finish last. i see your method working but it all depends on the party setup.
btw my mech was the fastest char ive had to max out from 160/50. it took me about 3 days.

If possible can you tell us what would be the proper build, skill and stats to get that damage.
pretty please.

str and any atk boosting foods/skills help tremendously for mado skills. str seems like it affects mado skills pretty much like dex for an archer class so dont skimp on it.
stats
------
95 str, 99 agi,1 int, 120 dex, 1 luk, 455 unused stat points (dont ask why lol)
gear
------
weapon: +12 pile bunker
headgear: wph+alarm combo for cheap healing.
armor: +7 unfrozen wind
shield: +9 anti-medium valk
garment: +9 EA10 fallen angel wing of shooter.
shoes: +9 sup temp dex boots
accessories: 2 medal of honor
skills needed for my style
-------------------------------
arm cannon 3 w/ dark cannon balls endowed with cursed water. (best under strings)
pile bunker 3 - to remove DA on randels in or spammed on any mini boss to debuff.
infared scan - its good to cast when you gwing unto a huge mob before u take out the randels or if you see rangers miss their targets.
ice launcher 2 - for minor crowd control along the edges of the ME.
knuckle boost 5 - for single target action.
consumable items used
-----------------------------
takoyaki - the extra atk helps.
savage bbq - 20 extra str is great.
lv 5 adrenaline scroll - helps to spam knuckle boost really quick.
cursed water - boosts damage to randels but you cant hit gertie.
sp items - i had the luxury of green ale so a lot of seeds or blues will be needed.
other
-------
around 40k dark cannon balls and 44k fuels
i first tried cannon ball switching and found it just isnt efficient enough like on a genetic so i stuck to darks most of the time due to cursed water. if you're crazy enough it is possible to switch and endow as necessary.
Now that you maxed your character what do you with it?
instances are the only things left to do like OGH, devil tower, hazy etc. Unless a specific task comes up it just vends.

I don't normally use mechanic to level cannon balls but is there any reason why people use dark cannon balls + cursed water? Because everytime I use my gene for cart cannon, I always use iron cannon ball + cursed water
idk about mechanics but i think...cc damage contains element from ball and weapon.
cursed water change weapon to shadow, not the ball. to change all cc damage to shadow, u need dark cannon ball and cursed water
correct me if im wrong though

I wouldn't say that 2 rangers wouldn't be best for any party...rangers tend to be too squishy and I would prefer another RK for damage over a ranger. I wouldn't add a Sura either, unless if they are a friend and know what they are doing. For RK, you can spam DB with strings and pretty much kill everything quickly except for Randels. Use water DB for the alchemist monster. RKs can pull and kill if you have it equipped right and are using spear dynamo or endure. Hope that helps.

I'll just put this up in here. I see people going to prontera or other towns just to get their gear repaired when broken.
For those gear that broke while in bio4, the easiest route to repair them are the ff:
1) In Lighthalzen, talk to Maroll Battle Recruiter at lhz (153,86), and click "Join".
2) When youre inside the battle field waiting room, head few steps south and go west. You should see the repairman at bat_room (138,144).
3) Repair your items.
4) Talk to the Teleporter at bat_room (148,150) to go back to town.

Never joined a party to level in bio before...cause I'm a loner /sob.
Since Maestro's/Wanderer's should focus on songs, Can't Shadow Chaser's replace them in using Severe Rainstorm? or is it just to weak in Bio?
Most SC's have high dex and agi which I think will help in SR. With proper equipment will it not do decent damage?

then all mobs will attack you and you die and die and die and die. if u wish to attack, use one burst damage dealer skill rather than skill which damage divided in parts.Never joined a party to level in bio before...cause I'm a loner /sob.

Can I ask question what is role of agi crit rk in biolab 4
Spam Giant Fly Wings and get flamed for being "useless because you are not a Dragon Breath RK".
People only want DB Rks for Bio4. :/
Your best bet for agi crit would be NCT: it takes a bit of getting used to but is pretty nice and fast leveling (bonus: without waiting times!), too.
