I find myself out of grizzly form a lot just because I don't need it a lot of the time while doing daily stuff and I like to look at my character model sometimes! But the aura buff that bear spirit grants is very, very nice and the 30% attack power seems very attractive. I see a lot of BMs out of grizzly having the 30% attack power but what do they drop in order to get it?

My current build is pretty generic: http://ro2base.com/b...1.1.1/0.0.0.0.0

But I don't see what I can take points out of. Fury strike / cruel bite / survival / wild crush / grizzly / brutal strike are way too good to not max. Tornado seems mandatory for farming and is just a great general mob aggro hoover in general. So do people not max beast roll and/or wild impact? Both of these seem paramount to even being able to participate in PvP (and pretty crazy if you have a lot of vigor) but they're also nice in PvE farming. Beast roll seems like the weakest link to transfer points from but.. BM is useless in PvP without it. I don't get it.

Personally I don't find the Bear Buff that good. It says 30% but it's not exactly 30% because of how damage formula has changed. But everyone is entitled to their choices so anyways, this is my opinion of skills you can sacrifice. Sorry in advance for the crappy explanations, I'm a bit dizzy today so I can't form sentences properly. Hope it still helps though.

Survival. My top choice is to sacrifice points from Survival. Losing 8% less heal is negligible when you already heal so much from Cruel Bite and potions. I myself only found myself using Survival (I had 5/10) when luring DWF Archers, and now people rarely do that anymore so it's even less useful. Even now in Payon, I rarely have to use it. In duels, it's not as useful as I'd think. Anything that can kill you quickly will laugh off that extra 8% heal. Anything that's too slow to kill you will already have a hard time stopping your Cruel Bite heals. This is me PVPing without any CLS runes versus people who have them though.

Wild Crush. I think I'll type up a guide on how this works in the near future. For now I'll just say, it's nowhere near as good as Strike a Vital Point. If you have no intention of fighting bosses, you won't need this to be maxed out. In grinding, you don't single target anyways other than to Cruel Bite, so again, less useful.

Beast Charge/Wild Impact. You said you might go PVP, in that case I wouldn't want to sacrifice my stuns. However if you must choose, there's good arguments for both, so I'll try to list them out.

-I did do well in Colo with only Beast Charge and could still win. Having both makes it much easier though, but if you have to choose only one, I'd want Beast Charge as a gap closer. This is because I usually rely on warriors to Battle Leap on groups and they are already stunned, so I can just take advantage of that by charging the warrior and use Brutal Strike on his knock down targets for the bonus damage.

-I don't know WoE PVP so someone else will need to comment on its usefulness. However, I'd assume in WoE, you as a bear will be targeted by Rogues (Block Heal) or Crescentias (Slow/Sleep). Both of these will slow you and if you use Beast Charge while slowed, you'll be in a glitchy state and become a liability.

-Both were useless to me in grinding, but Wild Impact does help a tiny bit more in Payon now.

I was testing my damage on mobs in and outside of shadow form on my assassin and the 30% does seem pretty noticeable to me; double attack was doing around 300-350 more damage. It might just be that I'm a sucker for non-bear animations as they look quite nice IMO, but getting that aura buff is so sexy! Survival does seem like a good place to take points from but that 8s more cooldown on survival is sadface. Maybe my playstyle just uses it a bit more. :P
