Chinese dragons are pretty ubiquitous so even if they appear in other video games, it won't effect the mount design's qualification in this contest. You are welcome to submit designs based on a horse even though they appear in many other games, for example. Common concepts are welcome as long as the design you enter is your own creation/drawing.

This is my idea and concept  ( DRAGON RIDER) , I am been working in Interior Design and Architecture Field for 2 years . Software that I use is Sketch Up , Photoshop , AutoCad , V-Ray(Rendering) and Lumion (Rendering). sorry for the bad rendering..

Looks a bit too similar to Deathwing from World of Warcraft. We already have a Thrall lookalike in-game, I don't think we need to attract the attention of WoW fanboys with a Deathwing lookalike, too.

Mount: Panda Express Panda Trike (name can be change... any suggestion?)

Movement: Moves like a panda riding a trike while pulling a wagon with the character in cross sitting position and holding the sides of the wagon for its life. If it is possible you can see the movement difference of the trike and the wagon (wagon's rear sways a little when changing directions).

Sounds: Panda sounds in the Forgotten Payon. For boost sound either a super-bike sound or a chewbacca panda. (optional can be changed)

So the concept is Panda + Trike + Wagon = Mount

If possible use the panda on the Forgotten Payon. My panda looks like it wants to run over someone.

Trike and Wagon size should be dependent on the Panda and Character size (my draft is just horrible).

Greetings:

hi, im new here in ro2, not even a week old. I saw the post on the event section so I decided to give a try. The thing is, I got only 4 days before the deadline when I first saw the post. Due to that, sorry for the somewhat in-complete and bad sketches XD.. drawing lines by lines and selecting each cell by cell using mouse and pen tool kind of tedious.  wish I could do full line art with colors. Even so, I hope I could deliver the main idea.

Well, here goes..

 

Intro:

The name for the mount comes from an old legend story of Malay culture. Badang

Originally the design was for a mount with multiple passenger capability. If it is possible then I would propose the multiple passenger mount, else, I’ll stick with the single rider mount. :3

 

 

Description:

1- main character:

-a huge and cute bipedal bear-rabbit gifted with incredible strength and stamina. Carry all of its master huge load including his unique small traditional looking cabin!

-smooth fur (rabbit/bear fur)

 

2-mode

-multiple passenger variation (if possible)

1 rider (sit on top of helmet chair), 3 passenger sit at the back chair

Regular position with arm on arm rest and foot on the foot rest.

-single rider

1rider (sit on top of helmet chair)

Regular position with arm on arm rest and foot on the foot rest.

**the only difference design between single and multiple is that on multiple, there is an extras of three chair in line at the top part of the backpack. While single, remove the back chairs.

 

3-mount movement

-regular biped movement –standing and running on two leg

*running sound set: giant movement (something common like stomp-stomp)

*when running, the 4 hanging lantern swayed by the wind and the movement

*speed boost on: the lantern sways rigorously by the wind and movement.

 

4-animation

-idle: standing: -Occasionally, the 4 hanging lantern sways a little by the wind

-sometimes look left and right. With the 4 hanging lantern sways a little.

 

-long idle: sit on the ground with two leg outward. *like a teddy bear

 

-boost on:

1-rage, *even while running  (rage animation: anything comes in mind or common bear rage)

*sound set: cute strong bear (something like that XD or anything necessary to fit in)

2-boost run!

Item Description: So cute it makes your heart ache.

 

Include a description of how the mount moves: It moves by slowly moving its huge "wings" up and down, just like a real stingray would move (example), generally floating up and down, making "swooshing" sounds. Movement speed would be 160% and it just hovers are few centimeters above the ground but doesnt touch it.

Greetings!

 

First of all, I want to thank "Gragantous" to notice me about this mount contest for Ragnarök Online II after I could not be in time to finish my costume design for the first contest.

 

Well, here I'm glad to show you my own Mount Design !!!

 

This is my Runic Golem! I was inspired by the ancient and flying city of Juno in the first Ragnarök Online, where was possible to see a city flying on the sky thanks to the piece of the Ymir's Heart. Otherwise I wanted to remake the typical monster "Golem" from the Sograt Desert.

 

On picture number 1 you can see the basic concept (the side and the back) of my Golem. Considering the fount of the power that allows the city to fly, I created the necklace as a fount that brings life and power to the Golem and makes him fly, (the green spheres and details that you can see on the coloured ilustrations (picture 2 & 3) represent this magic energy). On the back, we can see that the chains of the necklace are linked with a kind of belt holding a cushion considering the confort of the rider.

 

On the bottom of the mount are visible two green circles. They will be circling arround making a swing up and down continiously.

 

The hands will be suspended on air too, moving the fingers like he is playing an invisible piano.

 

About the sound playing while riding the Golem, I can easily imagine the soft sound of the circles of the bottom making a sound touching the air... something similar on air blowing magically...

 

Anyway, how the player will ride the mount? Mounted on the back, embracing the golem with one arm over the "neck" of the golem), and the other hand on the "shoulder", as the ilustration 2 shows. (not necessary to point anyway).

 

(The costumes of the characters appearing on the pictures are designed by myself, as you know, does not appears in the game).

 

And at last, Why Runic?, as I said, inspired by the first game, I would like to give a "touch" of runic as the first game have. Bringing more of the nordic culture and mithology.

Here is my humble entry.

 

Name:

Cool-Cool Camel

 

Features:

- Wears a cool pair of vintage sunglasses

- Has a goatee

- Blue & white striped t-shirt completes the look

- A pair of bongo drums as accessories

- (Drinks 5 cups of coffee a day)

 

Cool-Cool Camel runs normally and quite fast (caffeine?!), with a slight sway from side to side.

 

While standing idle or running, you can periodically hear the short drumming of the bongo drums!

I think I'm gonna settle for calling this the "Freyjanity Squidnapper" mount (Squid-vehicle puns were surprisingly hard to come up with)

Any resemblance to any Production Assistant, aquatic deities is purely coincidental. (we're totally not rigging the contest at all....)

Freyjanity Markings can be the same as the Freyjanity Mask accessory or use what I have which is R102 G204 B255. Doesn't matter.

Mount with character. 
The mount carries you in a King-Kong, grip of death manner   Look of agony optional but highly recommended. Also, it's about as large as those PI-07S mounts. Big and obnoxious, let's make it happen!

Movement

Wiggle wiggle wiggle. Pretty straightforward, it wiggles on its 8 tentacles to move. In its idle pose, it would chortle evilly as it grasps its captive rider. Again, it will wiggle in place.

Sound effects: Theme from JAWS, or just suction cup popping noises. Feel free to dub in Njoror's most evil laugh if possible.
Visual effects: It'll have the water effect like the Merlion mount, Strouf, and/or Imoogi. If possible, recolour it to be dark blue/black to imitate ink.

Based on the Nightmare monster from RO1. Animated pink flames on purple smoke appearing translucent (like fire) on feet, neck, and back. The purple smoke doesn't have to be animated, it could just be an under-glow.
