Do you guys know where can I find the O'Reily guy? I've followed the quest guide in iRO wiki but O'Reily was not in the spot(besides eden npc and cool event npc) where he supposed to be. Where should I go to start the quest?

Drayl, the guide you're following is the wrong one. Search either the 2011 guide (which is also in the first page of this thread) or the 2015 guide on iROwiki.

welp if it's closed then you probably can't turn it in for witchstarsand. maybe the npc that Camp says he's putting in to convert some of the ineligible coins will take the treasure boxes too.

Anyone actually tried killing the MVP? I tried twice earlier today, and every time I got ESL down to 15~20% ish he just vanished into thin air.

i did attack for a little bit, got bored and left. the first day quest was in i experienced the disappearing thing; whacked one near the spawn for a little bit and it poofed.

They eventually despawn to prevent the map from filling up with them like they did that one year.

I'm trying to do the quest on classic, and I'm confused. Do the monsters listed in the irowiki guide spawn anywhere on classic, or are there only Snake Lord's Minions to hunt for the Shreds of Evidence?

That is correct, it isn't named VIPER agents (it should be) but rather Snake Lord's Minions.

Sounds like a question a botter would ask, I finished the quest in 30 min and it shouldn't take anyone a long time anywhere.

I was stuck at the window part of the quest, so I headed back to Payon with 30 more shreds of evidence - but now I can't talk with the Mysterious Man. Please help? This is getting really frustrating >.<

What do you mean by getting stuck? Once you've investigated all three locations in Einbroch field, you need to move to the southwestern boat in Comodo Field 07(AKA Pharos' Lighthouse) and walk onto it to spawn the ESN MVP copy. Lure it out of the boat and walk on the boat again and talk to O'Riley to trigger the final step, which is back to Mysterious Man.

What I meant was that nothing happened when I clicked on 2 of the 3 windows. I went back to payon to restart the quest, which is what I read that I was supposed to do. For some reason, though, it didn't work. Any ideas?

I was trying to do the quest for my third char yesterday with my friend, but it appear something happen that I couldn't finish it anymore. After I talk with the first window, it won't let me talk with the next window. Nothing pop up after I click the window. I decide to switch char, and it happen again. I just can't finish the quest anymore and my friend can't do that too either. Anyone has the same problem?

Could someone please explain how to restard a quest? Everyone is telling me that the event is fine, there is no need to worry, all I need to do is restart the quest and it will work perfectly.

 

However, I cant find any option to restart a quest! All I can do is right click a quest to put it in the Inactivate menu, but the windows in the field and Mysterious Man still wont talk to me.

i killed it twice using my WL using soul expansion. first i kill mine, second i kill other people parties consists of 2nd jobs, so helpless.

 

and it didnt give me anything (no exp or drops), only attack and HP mimicking the ESL.

Okay so I accepted the loss, took my 1500 old gold coins to the NPC to go and convert.
It took ALL of my gold coins at once, didn't give me a single silver coin in return, and I saw the message "you can't carry any more items because you're overweight" in my chat box.

PEOPLE BE WARNED WHEN CONVERTING YOUR COINS.

I've submitted a ticket about it.
