great, means thanatos weaps are good for leveling. i still dont find the purpose of the bow tho, most rangers will use elven or bxb and performers will still prefer elven for rainstorm.

 

As for any set of equipment some classes won't use it.

 

I guess only few of the weapons will be used.

 

For the Katar I enjoyed a lot the damage and the SP rec boost.

 

Maybe Rangers can use the Bow to combo with Vana and a Dark Priest Card to Rec their SP sometimes, why not? Even performes which suffer with SP many times. It can be a switch weapom for SP-Rec, why not?

 

But I'm sure their are a really good adding on our PvM days ^^

wait dark priest card help SP leech? i think it is just SP damage to enemy. AFAIK SP leech cards is Dracula.

Just confirming the slot in Cloak of Gray

i got my thana bow, i tested this with my maestro using rainstorm.
my gear is:
well chewed pencil
+9 FAW ea10 deviling carded
+7 temp dex ea4 hawkeye
+7 kingbird shadow
+7 ancient armor
+4 power pendant
+4 power earring
additional eq that doesnt affect testing:
double sound ampli
earth armor
+9 RWH AA carded
hex spectacles ungoliant carded
+4 vit shdow shield
+4 vit shdow shoes

weapon used:
+7 kingbird elven bow + elven arrow + fire converter
+7 kingbird thanatos bow + fire arrow

level 135
dex 120
luk 77
agi 35
int 20
vit 90
str 1

test done in scaraba hall vs antler and rake horn scaraba.

SR damage using +7 KB elven bow + elven arrow + fire converter
normal: 5k
hawkeye in the middle of SR: 8k
hawkeye procs then do SR: 14k

+7 KB thanatos bow + fire arrow:
normal: 4k
hawkeye in the middle of SR: 7k
hawkeye procs then do SR: 12k

it is quite a dilemma for me since thana is inferior in damage compared to elven. and it is the matter of how many SR to finish mob of scaraba. using elven most mob died in one SR, while thana most mob died in 2 cast (mobs left with little HP after first cast and they all stone skinned, so it is hard to finish with shower). but in terms of SP leech i never run out of SP when using thana + RWH. while using elven + RWH i still burnt a lot of strawberries.

That damage seems surprising. You lost +60% range damage, and only gained like 70 atk... surprising to see the damage is only 25% less.

anybody test gray armor set and gray robe set yet? how is it?

Looks strange to me that 25% MHP/MSP increase is for Gray Robe set, also autocast lvl3 life drain sounds neglegible compare to that 25% HP/SP boost. It make more sense to me if the 25%MHP boost is moved to the Armor of Gray set.

Gray armor set should provide 25% extra SP, and gray robe set should give 25% extra HP, just like valkyrian shoes style

I want to try out the thana bow for aspd-warg (no WW set), i mean the VIT+6 its not super awesome but still good and its has a very good ATK, also 1 slot, it has no aspd or agi bonuses but with all the aspd related things out there i dont thing its crucial, also the LUK-6 its irrelevant when using Lucky day proc

 

So the big ATK, the fact its level 4, the slot and the leech make it very interesting for me, becuase that big ATK its good for warg, the leech its super awesome when you are attacking at 193 aspd and the matk looks nice for using the CD in mouth. 

 

Of course im talking about MVP, becuase other wise i still thing the best aspd-warg bow for bg-woe its the creeper, but for MVP looks very nice.

but u still lose the +50% ranged bonus from using elven bow+elven arrow, dont think its worth

Well i guess it depends on play styles, also the ranged damage only affects the damage from your arrows and the main DPS comes from the warg, also this bow having 180 ATK and been level4 its a garuanty of more damage from the warg in comparision from the elven, they both have 1 slot but the thana bow also lets you use any arrow, and in top of that he heals your HP and SP.

 

Its my play style, i used some time elven+14 with B. master, but now only creeper becuase of the 2 slots (double B master, and my Sharp enchant for CRIT, used not for damage but for hit lock)

 

I just prefer survabilty and versality over damage that why im guessing the thana bow would be awesome for MVP.

Just an Update if u die durring the swordsman quest u cannot re-enter it again. It's like a one shot thing. May be bugged or may be scripted

So, it sounds like there are two ASPD bonuses on this while using Encyclopedia [2]?  A flat bonus, the first part.  And then a scaling bonus for the upgrade level of the Encyclopedia [2].  Is this the case?

 

Has anyone tried it to see how significant the flat bonus is, if it's actually there?  I have a priest friend I might get one as a present for, if it's significant enough to help offset the ASPD loss of equipping a shield.
