I've been trying off & on for a bout 1.5 hours now, with no luck, i have 878 gold coins to turn in & I planed on turning them in 400 at a time, i can't get it to activate to convert to silver coins at all. Anyone have any help? It still turns the other coins into ales.
Yes i've walked through it, yes i've stood by the npc for a few minutes to try to activate, Yes i've stood on several squares on the map and talked to the npc. I'm on Chaos btw.
Can't get the ale converter to work?

run the quest through on a fresh character if you don't want to deal with the hassle of ticketing and such. it takes 5 mins.

The character has a quest done, Thats not the issue, he won't convert the 0 weight coins.
The quest is done on this character he will take any of the newer 4 weight 3 weight coins(gold silver coins) but none of the old ones(gold 0 weight) that need to be converted to silver 4 weight coins before he'll turn them into ale.
