I've seen soooooo many new beastmasters and I'm just thinking, 'Your a bm, why is your hp so low?'

These said BM reply waaaaay too much on healers and makes the healers live more stressful. (I'd know.)

So I decided to solo RM(N) and make a video of it to show how you should be able to act as a BM.

Do bear (hehe, bear get it? :p_laugh: ) in mind that I only used 2 Purple Explorer Potions during the fight because I had too. (2 Turtles, 1 RM & 1 Shadow really takes a toll on someone.)

Soloing Maya on hard mode, just wanted to test...

You're just used to seeing how high my HP is :3 Well if you look at just the armor, the VIT from it isn't actually that much. Also, honing/rehoning for VIT can get expensive for newer players who refuse to earn money. Some VIT/HP options are only available from old events. I can't say off the top of my head what % of VIT my basic gears make up but it feels small.

Not everyone decides to go VIT build because of the massive amounts of heals available (then I laugh when they get stunned). In general, you wouldn't need high HP for most of the content, but if they're grinding or whatever, they really should have a grasp of how much to lure. Instead of blaming the healer, I always consider it the tank's fault for not recognizing their own limits.

So advice for new BMs: Please be aware of your surroundings and be smart. Never blame the healer. If you're dying often, consider looking into one of the many options to boost your stats to astronomical heights.

Yeah senpai, your HP... Lol. Then again my HP can reach up to 105K now!  :p_smile:

Dis is true. Just feel like all of the BM's should go with VIT though, you know? We are Beastmaster's, the class with the most HP in the game. It really helps out a ton when self-healing. But I see what you mean about honing gears and everything, it can be a little too much for new players. But the ones that refuses to earn zeny, so lazy at least the new players try to earn zeny!

A lot of tanks do not recognize their limitations, yes but have no experience in trying to learn. And in turn, its automatically the healers fault for not healing enough or something stupid like that.

Haha I feel VIT is the best too but I wouldn't force people to fit a mold (afterall, I'm the one who likes weird builds like Full Support BM, lightning Wizard and Tank wizard). In all honesty, build won't matter too much in PVE settings. In PVP, AGI is actually quite useful too for getting amazing amounts of dodge.

BM is actually one of the cheapest classes, but of course you can expend on it and make your BM a truly godly one. BM reaches the defense cap rather easily (ignoring penetration) so you don't need to necessarily refine (although a +20 top will give you a big benefit). VIT is a good stat to use your stat points in, but it shouldn't be focused on with runes IMO. Yes, cruel bite and survival benefit from it but once you reach the 100k HP mark, you have to ask yourself if you really need more than spammable 30k heal bites.

Bm gets 2 dodge per AGI; chances are investing in AGI and having slightly lower HP will actually make your survive more. I have two 3s costume sets; one STR and one VIT, and in the grand scheme of things (depending on how many buffs I have) I usually gain 4-5k HP from that (I only use this for WoE where every bit of HP can count), which does not outweigh the benefit of the attack power (and even parry) gained from the STR set. With 4.9k STR (still more to come) my threat holding is huge, and also paves the way for fast PvE mobbing/farming in bear spirit.

When the fabled BT nerf finally happens, I predict that we WILL see more beastmasters though. BM is literally the PvE god, and without BT one-shots in PvP I predict we'll see a lot more of them.

- Battle Tactics adjustment: We have run a few tests at this point. At the time this is posted we will be performing more intense tests regarding this skill.

any update on this?

Basically we're unhappy with the change. It doesn't solve much of the current issues of Battle Tactics, so we're telling devs not to patch it and ideally come up with something else.
