Yeah, maybe I should've compressed the video before uploading.
But on my defense, they said no editing so hey.

Uhh..... they meant no "editing" as in no "transition for these two clips" or as in "cut this part of the film and connect it with this scene so they looked like this..." or as in "text overlay so people can see messages." Editing is a totally different term from what you could have done to lower the file size which is media conversion; changing the clip to a different format so it best fits what is needed. It's fine that it's 600 mb or something but as a courtesy you would at least give something more convenience to them.

Converting it into another format is not the same thing as compressing it.

Converting medias can lower file size depending on the file type. Compressing is another way of doing it but I didn't say they were the same o.O

Every time you render the video with a different compression type, you are losing quality on the video. It is better to leave it uncompressed.

Why thank you Yurai.

Uploading the raw footage was purely intentional, mainly because of the quality like Yurai has stated above.
As I took into consideration that the video editors would have an easier time working with a clean, crisp, and smooth clip rather than a compressed one.

Also

What do you need to do?

* Record yourself and your friends showing off your LEET SKILLZ
o Its must be one continuous video. No editing in transitions.
o You can film more then 15 seconds and snip out your favorite 15secs but no editing just the cool moves in. (Fraps, xfire etc.. with no branding)
o Upload it to file hosting site (such as megaupload.com or rapidshare.com)
o Make a post in this forum with your Character name/class in the title.
+ in the post make sure to include the link to where you can download the video, your Characters name and class.
+ Posting a youtube video of your film is optional.

It did not state that everyone had to compress their videos before uploading, as that would kinda be unfair to the others, since not everyone knows how to compress their videos or even know what video compression means.
