I've already tried running both setup.exe and setup_classic.exe as admin and configuring both to be the same.

Whenever I click "ok" for setup.exe, i get a blank pop-up box, but it stays the same when i open the setups again.

 

I have already tried manually changing the resolution by regedit.exe but it just doesn't work.

Just open the "savedata" folder in your RO directory then drag and drop OptionInfo.lua into notepad. Scroll down and find the width and height entries. Enter your custom resolution there, save it and restart the patcher.
