I want to be a priest but my attack is so low and my heals are terrible that im considering to be a monk once i hit lvl 25.

are there any good builds for priests that can enable them to have good heals and damage?

as a priest, wait til you reach master level. Your power will be far more noticeable when you use master level gear

If this is your first 2nd class go for Priest. You need to lay out a firm ground that could set you far into the game, and your curiosity towards Monk or other classes can be scraped once you're in a much secure position.

Hi!

Don't worry too much about your attack being low. When you change class at level 25, you'll receive a full set of blue gear that'll help quite a bit. You can also attempt to get a Pandora Mace from the Pandora Boxes (via Mallet at the Kafra Services NPC or a Key from the cash shop/rewards); the Mallet can get you up to a Blue grade, and the Key can get you up to a Purple grade. You may also get green or purple accessories while opening boxes, and those will help. You can use any of these weapons/accessories as an Acolyte as well.

You'll be able to level fairly quickly, due in part to the server exp boost. In addition, I found it very easy to level using the following skills:

  • Oratio
  • Judex
  • Credo (Priest)
  • Aspersio optional
  • Renovatio
  • Higness Heal optional

All you need to do is tab through enemies (or click them, if you prefer), and use Oratio and/or Credo, occasionally using Renovatio on yourself. If you take on too many and Renovatio isn't enough to keep up, you can use Aspersio+Judex to stun them. You won't even need much more than this until you get to Master Level.

At Master Level, I recommend making sure you have:

  • Renovatio
  • Highness Heal
  • Sacrament
  • Sanctuary (if you want to focus on healing)
  • Judex
  • Magnus Exorcismus
  • Blessing (max it - the buff is for the whole party)
  • Suffragium is good, but I don't find it necessary
  • Put at least one point in: Angelus, Archangel, Assumptio (non-heal support skills)
  • ... and of course, Aspersio

For grind, your basic tasks will most likely be to make sure those who need it are buffed with Renovatio (usually just the tank/lure; some parties need everybody buffed). In the downtime, you can use Aspersio+Judex, Aspersio+Magnus Exorcismus, or one of those skills without Aspersio if it is on cooldown. Aspersio+Judex is really good if you're trying to heal but there's too many mobs - stun the mobs, and use that 3-5 seconds to catch up on healing. Aspersio+Magnus Exorcismus does some pretty heavy base damage, and also applies the Oratio DoT for continued damage. Do NOT use Higness Heal unless you absolutely must, but keep it ready. It is very easy to pull the monsters to yourself with the threat generated by using it. Also a note on Sanctuary: once it's activated, you need to stand still for the effect to continue; if you need to use other skills, you can move to end the effect.

See my full build~ I have gotten all 20 extra skill points, but I haven't put 5 of them anywhere as I don't find I really need them. Hopefully this helps you decide on a build.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.  :p_smile:
