Hi toni, can you check for me, ign Xmastree redeemed few thief potions on the week of HHB but till now havent get the items.

 

I just checked my logs and it seems Njoror never sent me confirmation for the prizes on that day, I'll let him know to send those out asap.

Idk if triviabot lagged or what but this happened.

 

One round of the letter scrambles, the answer was "christmas rudolph" but it wouldn't accept that as the answer. I thought it might have been caps sensitive, so I tried all caps but it did not accept "CHRISTMAS RUDOLPH" as the winning answer either. iirc the winning answer was typed out like "CHRISTMAS RUDOLPHFPH" or something like that. Please check it for a typo or something.

It took me a bit longer to get this updated, but finally the new prize list has arrived! I've taken into account all of the suggestions people have given me, as well as the responses from the survey and put together this new prize list. The list will be in effect at the time of this post, so you can go redeem any of these prizes starting now:

I've just completed a large update to TriviaBot's software today, it should have a number of big improvements to how well the bot handles trivia rounds now including:

• much better accuracy at determining winners
• more exact matches, less tolerance for typos in answers
• vastly improved reaction time
• fewer errors
• answering questions via whisper has been disabled
• no more blank name winners
• no more spelling errors for names

if anyone encounters new bugs, please let me know so I can get the remaining ones sorted out. Since this update changed a fairly large amount of the bot's code it's possible some new stuff slipped in but it should be much easier to fix issues now compared to the older version.

Fixed the bug that prevented the bot from reading answers starting with the letter P, please let me know if this happens again after this post.

It's been nearly 2 years now since I started TriviaBot, and thousands of players have participated in the event since then, but as of today I'm going to retire the bot and trivia will be coming to an end. Thanks to everyone who sent me encouraging messages or enjoyed the event over the years, I didn't get anything for running this event but you guys made it worth the effort. Unfortunately I no longer have as much free time to keep the event going. I'll be leaving the bot online for a while longer so people can claim prizes with their remaining points before shutting it off. 

 

Some final statistics for TriviaBot as of today:

• Number of participating players: 2,952
• Number of rounds played: 2,206
• Number of questions answered: 92,653
• Prizes given out: 2,979

The deadline to redeem prizes will be on November 30th before the bot will go offline.
