that will check to make sure the game has all the right files, and if it doesn't should install/over write the ones needed.

- Properties
- Local files
- Verify Integrity of Game Cache

I did check integrity with steam, didnt fix it, maybe a steam file got corrupted and needs some fixing since the normal one works fine...
also for you zurn here its the big version:

Until they fix it that seems to be the solution, go to playroseonline.com and get the normal installer .. or wait until they fix it xD

Well you could Do this experimental thing...
Copy the working file from the normal rose folder into the steam directory..
pretty sure the broken file is MAPS.VFS, but guess what that files weights around 1gb xD,
And thats the size of the installer download so just download the installer and it should be faster... i dont think anyone will upload here a 1gb working file sadly..

uhmm. steam user here same problem and i followed ur suggestion .. it downloaded some files, like 811mb and after that i cant logged in my acc. anymore..

just install the warpportal client and login there with your steam account solved.
