Error with Launcher

I get these errors when I try and launch classic RO as administrator. I'm tired of playing WoW and really want to come back to Ragnarok Online.

 

Please help me fix this issue!

Were you launching the classic client from the desktop shortcut? If you are try launching it from the Ragnarok folder via ClassicRO.exe I also got this error but when I launched it from the Ragnarok folder its fine. And wait until every icon in the launcher appears especially the renewal button and the launcher should say "Patch Process Completed" spam clicking the start button also seems to trigger those errors.

Alright I tried re-installing to see if I could fix the issues I was having ingame. Getting the same errors again and I have no clue how to fix it. Some help would be appreciated! Thanks!

 

I tried what was suggested in this thread and nothing has fixed the issue.

I get this too from time to time. Keep alterning opening as admin and non admin it will work eventually.

I just learned to live with it

Yeah when I played classic I got this error so much, I quit. Good luck solving it though :p_laugh:

Hey all,

 

For starters this is for Classic server only, I've had no issues getting Renewal to run, but it's Classic that I want to play. Not sure if this will work for anyone else, but I've been plagued with this issue since I began playing again about a month ago so I thought I would post my troubleshooting for temporary solutions here.

 

At first I could just use the Ragnarok_Installer.exe to "Repair" the installation and that would allow me to run the game until I closed it, after this the game would refuse to load again with the No ClientInfo and RixSquirrel errors and I'd have to either restart or fresh install. Today that solution stopped working entirely.

All solutions in other tech support threads have already been exhausted as well. Compatibility Modes, -1old1- bypassing the patcher, etc.

After doing a general Google search, I read through a Reddit thread and noticed someone mention that changing the game location worked for them. With this in mind, all I did was move the Gravity folder to a new location, however closing the game still results in the above mentioned errors, so I moved it back to the default location and, lo and behold, I could run it again. So perhaps directory swapping could be another potential temporary fix. As a side note, I have no idea if this is harmful to the file quality(or your HDD) after so much swapping..

For clarity, I am running Windows 8.1 with the game currently in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 AND run as Administrator checked in the game file's properties(both ClassicRO.exe and clragexe.exe). I swapped the game from it's default directory from install(C:\gravity\Ragnarok Online), to my desktop and back to default.

Again, this is definitely not a permanent fix, but as someone who just spent nearly 3 hours pulling hairs out trying to get her game to run, I feel it's best to post my thought process in hopes that it may help someone else in this insanity. I'm sure it is deterring potential players. :(
