And out of curiosity, why does the bound s.mid quest in the game only give geek glass coupons? why not give the choice between geek and sunny mids?

Because if you want nice looking mids you have to pay cash and/or a metric crapton of zeny to someone who paid cash and even more zeny failing to slot them. Oda needs to buy his lunch somehow!
