Well guys, 34 days ago I was a freshly turned GLX without much clue.

 

This evening I finally clicked over to 175 and think I have a reasonable knowledge base now. Now on to greater equips!

I think my next step is getting all my shadow gear and costume bits sorted.

 

Then it's Sapha set (oh man ... rebuilding my armors) and probably a +12 drooping?

save the shadow armors last; wait for a return of the dbl refine event since there's no break protection for your gears until you reach +7.

is putting a wakwak into +9 hbp a better choice than +9 faw for optimum rc/rcs ? kinda in dilemma right now hahah

 

i have 120 str and most other stats are 90

Would the FAW have FS enchants? If so, it'd win on raw atk but you'd lose out on the other benefits... if you're going RC I imagine you have at least 3 stats at 90 or higher, so that's potentially enough to put HBP > FAW for versatility. 

 

Unless your goal is to specifically stack atk. 

 

Still, assuming 120 str, FAW = 6  + (18+18+21=57) + 60 atk for a total of 123 atk...

 

...while the HBP would give you 30 + 60 for a total of 90 atk. 

 

FAW wins with 33 equip atk... but loses out on the rest. If you can keep 190 aspd without the hbp boost, then I guess you'd notice a sufficient difference from FAW. Tho you would take a bit more damage and CRS would do less damage.

haha yeah thats what im thinking if i use faw i might be doing more RC dmg but slightly lower dmg on CRS compared to HBP , and losing other bonuses too XD

I personally prefer the HBP for leveling cuz of all the side benefits. Tho 33 atk is p good, it's basically a porcellio carded and/or very well enchanted nab's cloth. 

 

Also, given how RC works (you face tanking most the time) the resistance helps and backpack makes looting so easy that it keeps a steady flow of cash to make up for all those poison bottles that get used. I found that I made at least a hundred million from just grinding at bifrost 2 with my gx by simply OCing dustballs and the two bookmarks that drop there. 

 

I guess one of the perks of a high level katar GX is that you get a lot of points you can spread around, so it is easy to take advantage of those other perks from the backpack.

I've already got ASPD+1 rudra. I don't believe I need a bako; once I get my shadow set (which is another few AGI), I can hit 193 ASPD with just celermine juice and an awake.

 

Sadly I can't go daggers due to job changing at 50, so I'll have to make it as good as I can on katar!

DD crit isn't the only way to do daggers. Saw this on Havenn's YT

"Hello! Sorry I missed this comment! The GX in my video is that same build - I am going to eventually make a DD crit because it does make a few MVPs much easier - but the hybrid can compete for sure. It's very easy to build a hybrid, my aim is this: 120str,120agi,96vit,75dex(adding more0, 50luk(for the atk/hit/crit when using katar). I think you can add more stats than that but that's around where this GX is now. Use DD for MVPs for sure, it's almost always faster. Once you're around 160, most MVPs can be killed before they even AGI UP so crit isn't needed. Anything you NEED to crit, can be done with chakram+sincuff. "

get your +9 RWH and hunterfly card on katar first or you will burn a lot of potion doing solo.lighthalzen bounty board is good alternative other than low TI.

hello guys! I main a Priest and decided to make an assassin for earning zeny for both of them.

 

any tips on what to buy next? i have like a 100m to invest/upgrade my sin. Also I already have a +9RWH waiting in kafra.

 

Items that I could borrow from my priest are:

+9 iHBP

+9 FAW(need to reset enchants though )

You should use hbp for leveling
Get triple malicious jur or quad malicious specialty jur until you can equip thanatos katar

Also get variant shoes

If you have extra zeny, I highly recommend you to get temporal boots and rogue treasure

Thank god for me checking this post, i never mvp'ed and i thought to myself, what if i use swap the god damb weapon after it agi up. Havenn pointrd it out and tested this. Now knwoing that gx can still do stuff with dd, I will contiue to try leveling him, since its a lot easier to RC.. Btw, it hurts my hand to push two buttons all day..

I'll add in more. Ive gone through all what you did with similar gear availible. Get you stat as sinx with 70 +/- 5 of str,agi,vit. Dex 60 is plenty. With left over point put in luk to 11 or below, then leave int at 1.

Dont go tripple malicious on a jur, doing that is like plating gold on a broomstick. I would do that on a chrishna, buy a cheap one, enchant or not dont matter since its gunna be useless after you get thana katar. Those 2 slot can be used for hunterfly. With your +9 rwh and double hunterfly, you can ask your little bro to push the same key all day and you will be okay without checking. Earth deleter would save you from overpriced incubus egg, put them out of business.

Always put edp on and greed, I think you only need 150 white per trip in nogg, until you are filled over 90% trash loots. Nogg can get you to 125, Rachel and Jurepos isnt as goos. This weeks mid Ti isnt good for solo. Tatacho is jice exp, but that map have monsters that make you heal less. Beyond 125 is out of my knowledge, I havent gone through it.

Temp boots are really good, you can save money with an slotted variant. Rogue treasure is nice, but we treasure other things more, you dont have to get one.
