Here's the place to ask your questions for this week's stream as we return to a more normal schedule! Going to try some things to tighten it up a bit before we go live at 3pm PDT.
Today we remember my the actor who played my favorite all time TV character. As the rumpled but brilliant detective Columbo, Peter Falk brought gravitas and a gentle nature to the normally hard boiled world of TV detective shows. He doesn't have to torture a suspect to get them to confess, only politely annoy them until they can't help but make a crucial mistake or admit their crime. Most of his targets are the rich and powerful, intelligent people who humor Columbo's increasingly specific questions and don't realize that he's closing in on them. Peter Falk built the role from whole cloth, introducing the hallmark mannerisms, appearance and personality of the great detective over decades of movie-length episodes.
