Since we aren't able to add dungeons and monsters that did not exist on pre-renewal we have a designated "Challenge" dungeon where we repurpose monsters into a tough dungeon for high level parties. ok, found everything, got my red hat. went to pront and +4ed it there. then went back to the quest to try an upgrade farther. anyone know if this has to be upgraded stricktly thru the quest npc? or what the %chance of it working to get to +5 is? all he says is it must have had some impuritys in the weave, lol.

What you're doing is fine. The way the NPC works I think is like regular upgrading in terms of success chance, except that when you fail the item does not break. So you want to keep upgrading it at the quest NPC.

Can anyone explain the refine my beret option? What's the success rate? It seems abysmal. I've done it about 9 times and never once succeeded.
