My version is 0.3.59 but the new quests (players unite event) aren't available either. Please fix this bug. Thank you :)

There is no bug. The quests are definitely available. Please make sure you don't replace your original xml.dat and tb.bin/tb2.bin files. I triple checked that the quests are working. Also, there are lots of players running around with the rewards of this week's quest (Top of Unity, Shoulders of Unity).

What I mean sir is that there is no exclamation point (the yellow one) from the npcs :(. When I talk to npc edward, the trade items show up but not the quest.

Did you do the two event pre quests already, or is this your first time trying to do them?

As stupid as this may sound, do maybe some grey "?" above their heads show up?

Are you in the right level to do the quests, what is your char level? Are you playing human or dragokin?

(If I remember right the human char level requirement is level ....25.....and dragokin, uhrm........30..... :p_conf: ......but not sure though, sorry)

If you are under level the quests won't show for you until you reach the right level range for the quests.

In that case you would only see the trade items from Edward but nothing else.....

edit:

in the game options there is an option "show all quests" you could try to activate this....but I doubt that this will help in this case.

Okay. So I removed another game and mine is working fine again. Not really sure if its due to the other online game though.

Could very well be, yes.

As strange as this sounds, I was actually going to ask you if you recently installed another mmo....cause I just remembered that this could cause issues.   :p_smile:

I 'm not talking about the  actual game, but maybe something secretly got installed together with it - and that tool is causing this issue.

Many mmo do install very stupid things, mostly all secret and hidden before the user eyes. For example the "pandomedia something"..... is very nasty. Cause it uses up all of your Internet traffic to upload files to other users. I had it once and it took me some hours to find out why I'm not able to do anything on the Internet anymore...I got it by just installing another mmo game and wasn't aware at all....

However I'm glad that all Warpportal games come without any secret thing/tool/or whatever. None of them does install anything else as the original game and that is quite rare these days. Thanks WP for this.  :p_smile:

And I'm really glad your game finally does work again. Yay.  :p_smile:

However, my other computer which does not have the same game installed is working as well now /:

So I'm not exactly sure why this happened. Anyways I'm able to patch both clients on my both computers. Thanks for your opinions and poppy's.

I'm just glad all worked out at the end. And you finally are able to play and enjoy the new event things.  :p_smile:

And that the game finally does patch and work properly.  :heh:

Yes I did the first two quests and got the rewards from each. Nothing at all shows up from both NPCs. I'm a human (assassin) lvl 46. It's strange to not have any quests to give me :(

Since I'm able to see those quests with all of  my chars just fine and I'm able to do them, I highly think something went completely wrong with your patching process/game.

Hmm, could you do me a favor and try to run the patcher again? Just to check if the game still has a little something to patch left or not.

If not, it is highly possible something went wrong while the patching process of the game - aka some data/files got corrupted.

In this sad case it is best to completely de-install the whole game, re-download the installer and install the game to a fresh locaton.

Sadly this happens from time to time I got hit by that once myself too.  :p_sad:

Sorry that I can't give you a nice suggestion...  :p_smile:

Ok I shall do your suggestion :). Hmm when I opened the launcher, patching was completed and no new version notified.

Yes I remember when I was going to update to 3.59, the patcher was kinda slow so I decided to restart the computer. When I opened the launcher again, it was already 3.59 even though there was no patching process yet lol (it was automatically 3.59 :oo) and I could click play.

And there we found your problem.  :p_smile:

Shutting down the computer while the DS patcher is saving data to your harddisk is no good idea.

This is what patching the game is about, new data gets downloaded and stored into the game files directly on your harddisk.

The patch was only partly applied to your game and harddisk, so that important game data is missing now (the quests for example). Sadly the patching progress must have been nearly finished so the game recognizes this as the newest game version....but it isn't completed at all. Sadly your game not thinks it already is the newest version and so it won't continue patching on it's own.... dang

Yup in that case only removing the whole thing and re-installing it completely fresh is the only thing you can do. Sadly there is no other option to make the game run properly.

Please do not shut down/restart your computer while the patching process is going on. Better wait for it to finish, even if it takes a little more time. Or else something like you experience now will happen again.  :p_smile:

Btw:

If you own any consoles like Xbox for example, you will notice it telling you " saving, please do not shut down your xbox/switch off your xbox ". This is the same system. When you shut it off while saving all stuff you did so far will be lost or your save will be corrupted and you can't use it anymore.

Hmm.. what should I do if I get WebGet Request failed a lot from re-installing the game? This happens after the initializing game part :(

This happens after the initializing game part :(

Do you mean when the installer says "Download initializing" ?

The "WebGet Request failed" error occurs if the connection to the WarpPortal server fails. Means that the installer is not able to connect to the WarpPortal download server properly.

Every problem you have web-wise (this error message, slow patcher) suggests that you have a problem with connecting to the WarpPortal servers.

Please make sure there are no other applications continously uploading something (for example torrent clients or download helpers for other online games), because a completely blocked upload bandwidth also affects the download.

Hm. Seems to be a hard to find problem, since we didn't change anything on our side.

You could try the following:

  • If you have a WiFi (WLAN) connection you could try to use cable connection if it's possible for you
  • Turn off antivirus / firewall (make sure you have nothing else running what's connected to the internet to ensure you don't get any trojans or something). If this works, add Dragon Saga to it's exceptions
  • Are you the only one using this internet connection? Maybe someone who also uses your internet connection could "eat up" the bandwidth
  • Finally, contact your Internet Provider and tell them about this issue

From our side everything's okay and I don't see more things that could cause your problems.

Same thing happened with the current patch to 0.3.60 :(

Seems like I can only update my client a day after it is released.

Anybody know why this is happening?

Are there any manual patches which I can use?
