Hello there!

I have been reading the Sorcerer discussion since I started mine, not long ago, and she's level 35 at the moment. I have 45 points in INT so far and soon 50 will be hit.

Since I found little info on how the critical works for Sorcer (and I have a particular tendency towards it), I'd like to know the results of those with a more critical build and the %, runes, which gear suits better for ML25+.

I saw a few INT/VIT build.

For a PVE kind of play in both DPS/HEAL what would be "optimal" (INT/VIT or INT/CRIT)?

Thanks in advance.  :p_laugh:

(P.S.: Sorry for the "optimal", I couldn't find a better word, even knowing that personal preferences in most cases are the defining factor for build decisions.)

You get plenty of critical through gear alone. If you feel you need to top up your critical rate, you can consider using Sandman Card to provide you with some Agi to boost your rate.

I'm using an Int/Vit build, and sitting on a 34% Critical rate with Osi gear and a few Agi bind runes. Can't really tell you much from there though, I'm only at ML20 myself.

after %30 rate, critical rate increasing too hard. when i use my studded band(300 critical) ,   my crit rate increasing only  ~%1. so dont push agi for critical. even if u go with full agi, ur crit rate will increasing about %2 -%3. in the other hand, int is not increasing ur damage dramatically also. so choose what you think is good for you.

In addition to what's been said, the best way to honestly increase your Crit after reaching ~30% from gear stats is via buffs that affect rate.

Mark of Genocide - Thief party buff, +10% crit rate on top of your normal rate, so it's 30% + 10% = 40%, not just 33%.
Pump It Up Hard Pill - +5% rate

Pump It Up Pill - +2% rate, they are from VIP packages I think? But not really worth investing in.
Monthly Back Acccessory + Munil Accessory set bonus - +2% rate, though because it's temporary, not really worth doing every month unless you actually like all the costumes

Statue Buff - I think 3%? If you really have an obsession with Crit, then there's this too. But given how there are better statue buffs out there (+10% all primary stats or +10% MATK/PATK), you're better off using the other ones.

There's your easy way to get 15-22% more crit than normal.

Build wise, I'd recommend INT/VIT, going more towards Pure VIT if you enjoy soloing. INT barely makes a difference whether it's at 350 or 0, so I'd say just going even full VIT is a pretty safe bet in the long run without worrying too much about resetting your build.

I would say invest a bit agi is not bad. You can put rune +50/ + 80 to get critical around 35%. After that when u have buff/ pill, your critical can increase to 37%. That is more than enough to get crit everytime you attack. Just suggestion :)

currently my sorc is full int build.. but since I'm not investing much time on the class I think I'm ok with it for now. well not much in the pvp department but am not into pvp in the first place.
