The crit bonus with Chakram+Handcuffs is just crit. Won't help with skill attack I'm afraid. If CRS is your primary skill, then GBR for WoE, +12 eventually, and either Glorious Jama, Guillotine Katar, or Thanatos for PvE. I have not had the chance to play with GK, but Jama at +12 compared to a +9 Thanatos with a zipper bear card (not the best of cards but I budgeted it) is about the same on CRS & RC.

For skill gear I use +9 HBP, Loki's Mask (the dmg decrease isn't much and with 193, you won't miss it), +12 Agi Boots AD4 (AGI at 110, so not going for that 1 bonus), enriched clerimine (sp? xD), gurana candy, and drosera herb stew. Crit gear I switch out the HBP to a Fatal FAW, use the same boots and buffs, and have ASPD1 on my Chakram. If you get a high FS enchant when that goes off on a Chak, it helps with ASPD as well. I wouldn't rely on it though.

Edit: And I use 1 Bakonawa tat & ASPD costume. You can also use the costume physical pendant I believe for a small percentage of ASPD.

Those will give you a good direction until endgame.

 

You should ask other GX users out that that actually woe with the class in terms of GX DMG with woe reductions.

Dunno if they actually can kill anything nowadays, since i dont woe.

So taking advice from peeps on this thread I went out and bought some . Considering GBR is apparently untrustworthy for you guys I figure I'm gonna stick with my Thanatos (And possibly get another later, or an ASPD Chakram as the 2 ASPD enchants will set me at 192 ASPD and +12ing the Agi Boots will probably give me 193 ASPD, if not +9... meaning I should probably buy boots with a better enchant when I get hella amounts of money for Lucky Day XD)

Edit: Celermine gets me to 191. Looks like I just need the +2 ASPD Chakram

You don't have to use the tats, they are just really nice to have in the long run. A double aspd chak will work, but if you want to get rid of delay with RC/CRS later you might wanna invest in one. Plus it will help with medium attack dmg.

Hey guys!
I was wondering.
Now that I'm pretty sure how I'm going to gear offensively can anyone give me some tips for flat out surviving? Do I just wear the correct elemental armor or is there something I'm missing?

most gxes will rely on elemental armours and halluciantion walk for the most part. for particularly hard hitting mvps you may have to wear elemental resist headgears too.

That's assuming one can kill the MvP before Hallu Walk runs out... right?

My personal preference when mvping with my GXs (instances only; no field MVPs) is priorizing survivability over dmg.

I usually stack armor and garment reductions,+elemental reduction pots, when the magic dmg packs a punch.

When the magic dmg isnt an issue i usually use elemental armor + petal/offensive garment.

If you are MVPinh on fields; with plenty competition, its another story. Then you tend to mix more dmg modifiers and reduce ur protective gear.

if the damage is elemental then you will want to stack the proper elemental reductions. if it is neutral and the mvp doesn't cast particularly dangerous elemental spells go for a deviling carded garment.

But I still have a dilemna of being one shot by non elemental skills, even though I'm potting like a madman. What do I frikkin do here? xD

The standard response would be a deviant garment or other neutral % reductions (as well as some hard defense to complement it.)

Ghostring (sometimes Angeling) armor, Deviling or Raydric garment, and a Kafra Blossom Card (or two). All help with neutral dmg.

So I guess I need one of those ghostring cards or something for them?  Cause man I got all these elemental resists and I keep summoning MvPs that don't do elemental damage ;-;

afaik ghostring only affects earthquake in pvm. it's more of a pvp card. goes for about 550m i think.

 

if even after wearing an immune/deviling you're still getting one shot you could try an abysmal knight helm for more resist. what level is your gx? perhaps you are underleveled?

btw, LD enchant on a gx is overrated. When Proc, BP will give you more damage, SoL will make you tankier. LD is something between those two. Give a bit of this and that, but compare to those two, it proc a lot more. It is okay for general boots, but if you really want to make a specialize gx, go get other thing.

the reason why it is so popular is mainly because of the DDcrit thread. Everyone saw a gx doing big number using that boot, and everyone start to copy it :v

yeah for specialised purposes LD loses to everything. that's what's good about it though, it's a lot more versatile and helps a bit in everything. plus it has the awesomest proc animation, so yeah :v

As the other guys already commented, Ghostring will only help agains EQ.

If ur being one-shotted by physical skills there is something fishy.

Maybe Large HP pots could help you dont get one-shotted.

 

Could you give an exemple of a MVP/skill that killed you?

Also, can you tell us how much HP you have?
