I'm planning to upgrade immediately, but I am a computer person who easily adapts. Windows 8 and Vista was a non-issue for me. However, I always recommend most wait at least 6 months on any windows release to upgrade.

Vista was definitely worse than 8 for me. The performance, bugs, glitches was just too much. After a while it got bettrr with updates but still...
Windows 10 seems like it will be using less resources than 8.1 even and seems pretty solid.
