As a lv 159 GX, are there any instances i can effectively solo without too much trouble? (based off my current gear that is)

I have:

 

Top: +9 Rwh, +9 Eddga (working on +12)

Mid: Pegasus Ear Wing

Low: Advanced Assassin Mask
Armor: Nab's Cloth (Porcellio, Str4/Fs3/Fs3)

Weapon: +9 Triple Malicious Jur, +9 Glorious Jamadhar

Garment:+9 iHBP, +9 FAW Special Agi/AD3/AD3 (working on Deviling and +12)

Shoes: Variants

Acc: Bako tat, Rogues treasure

 

100 Str

113 Agi

95 Vit

1 Int

65 Dex

80 Luk

 

Im pretty sure I need to improve some gears and add others, just dont know what. Any advice helps!

As a gx, you can solo most instances listed here (except for Bio 3/4 MVPs and Endless Tower if your goal is to finish It)

Your level/gears/build are enough for leveling. But some instances will require elemental reduction.

 

My advice: Start studying whatever instance you plan to do (What kind of monsters, their skills,etc), buy elemental armors (nothing you cant' work on) and a level 4 weapon carded with HF.  At your level, I would never

use a Jur, unless I'm dealing with a huuuuge mob. Good weapons: Thanatos Katar / Blood Tears

the instance i really want to be able to solo is nightmare glast heim. What resistances do i need?

u mean old glast heim, nightmare glas heim is actually just a map

u are good there with immune garment, fire armor, evil druid armor and bathory armor, no more than this is needed, tho a DR really helps in the raydrics part (thos archer hurt a lot)

on your first runs i highly suggest you to dual with ab, those monsters can hit pretty hard. as u gain experience try solo runs. u will find this pretty easy once u get used to it

I do it without fire armor, but I do use a fireproof pot for the 2nd portion (magnum break hurts.)

 

First mvp is a joke with undead armor. 2nd mvp is much easier with shadow armor but can still hit for some damage via melee + magnum break. I'd suggest putting yourself in a corner so the push back doesn't hurt you too much, and also to avoid the monster spawns. 

 

Once you kill the 'undead commanders', do not kill other monsters, doing so can potentially respawn it (tho I don't know if this despawns the warp portal, never risked it.)

i say fire armor because of the BKs meteor storm, they can kill u pretty fast if some meteor hits u combined.

IF u kill the undead commanders too fast, they will not trigger to open the next portal, so its wise to pull them somewhere where u can kill'em alone.

Even tho ur natural flee is high enough to dodge most amdarais attacks, he still has 2 attacks that can hit u even in hallucination walk: critical slash, wich does to me +/- 9k, and magnum break(has a bonus 50% hit rate so will connect) wich deals 20k ish to me. Just try to have 35k along with wearing bathory armor so your survival is guaranteed. If u dont feel confident u can kill him fast enough(because mobs spawn after some time), enter in cloaking exceed and drag him behind the stairs, there u can 1v1 him safely.

Yeah, the meteor storm is the worst -- luckily the animation gives you some time -- I just backslide and CRS the BK as they only use it when their HP is low. But you're not wrong, fire armor will definitely help. I always use a fireproof pot at that stage. 

 

The crit hit does about 9k on me as well (immune hbp) and the magnum break takes offa bout 20-30% my hp which would be about 13-19k or so, I can eat 3 and still survive. 

 

My usual strat is to cloak exceed and pull him away to avoid the other mobs (by the stairs is good) but he has an annoying habit of just spamming dark soul strike and not going to melee you, so you may need to leave his range and come back a few times.

after an almost hour long instance, i was able to finish ogh. amdarais took a while lol

he has more than 4m hp, but he has no defence at all, and takes 200% to fire, take advantage on this, also try to work on a mvping weapon for faster kills (kvm is only good to demi human :/)

and I was using a +6 thana katar

i use a +9 inverse scale and it works wonders for that instance

What's DR btw ?

I tried to Solo OGH using Evil Druid Bone Plate but ended up dying about 4 times with one hit . Am I missing something ?

DR = deviling (deviant garment)

 

I don't know why people call it dR given that there is no 'r' in it, but eh. 

 

What was one-shotting you?

Amdrais around less 50% hp. I had to to use tokens because of that . I was wearing Undead armor so I thought he had Grand Cross or something . He couldn't possibly 1 hit me using a normal attack with 49k HP .

Like I said in a previous post -- don't use undead armor, his magnum break will jack you up. Use shadow armor against him, it will nullify his dark grand cross. 

 

Also, pop a fireproof pot against him at the least.

Ayt. Good thing I was able to get some Shadow Sapha Cloth .

I need to find some fireproof pots though . Getting some in Thor is damn expensive.

Oh right. I don't know how the server's situation is. Erm... in that case, craft I guess. Isn't there  card or item that adds chance of dropping random elemental-proof pots?
