Did you get this quest another day, then complete it today?

This quest is different everyday so even though you collected enough monster extermination, the server expects to see different exterminations which belong to today's quest, so the old man refuses to take your turn-ins.

 

Same thing happens when you get the quest to kill Mummy King in Hall of Oblivion yesterday, but not until today that you complete it

(but today's quest is supposed to be killing Mammy Queen instead), so he won't accept it even though you complete it.

 

I hope my explanation make sense. I personally find it a bit fuzzy.

I did get the quest way back before Merge and just completed it recently. Turnover of quest was July 17 (according to image taken date)

Before i tried to turnover this quest, I turned just turned over the Vengeance for Nejeuve Village (Daily) to the neighbor npc and took the same quest.

This quest and the quest to kill King/ Queen in Hall of Oblivion differ everyday.

So in case the quest you took and the quest which is supposed to be taken that day are diffrent.

The you won't be able to turn it in even though you completed it (not in the day you took it).

As I explained above.

 

This can probably be fixed by deleting the current quest and get it again from the NPCs.

 

However, other quests in dungeons are fixed, so this problem doesn't happen to them.

I have completed a quest weeks after I got it, and had no trouble turning it in. If he/she got the proofs for it that day, then they should be able to turn it in. However, if they completed it the day before, he may be giving a different quest. In that case, he won't accept it until he does. The same goes for Mummy King/Mammy Queen quest for HoO. He has to be giving it that day, or he won't accept it.

So you mean this npc gives quest other than killing Anansi recluse and Anansi spider ? What is the other quest btw?

And no, i dont think deleting a completed quest is a solution.

There might be 2 different quests.

 

1st quest requires killing the first boss

2nd quest requires killing the second boss

(First and second boss are different)

 

Although I don't remember the 120 monster extermination but I remember they're different between 2 quests as well.

Actually no, there's 3 quest for COU but for this npc the other one is collecting web around caves and getting 400 oak wood. The next would be this quest which required you to kill 120 anasi (or something like that) OR archne and the boss of the mob that's suppose to be killed.

 

The Ulverick quest is from the dead priest or something on the other side.

I and the others were talking about the changeable quests in Cave and Hall.

They're different everyday:

 

- 120 mobs + 1 king in Cave

- Mammy Queen/ Mummy King in Hall

 

The other quests are fixed, their requirements don't change so we're not talking about them.

Paul gives a total of three quests, but only gives 2 at a time. The one is for anansi spiders and anansi recluse. The second is arachne spiders and arachne recluse. The third is the webs and wood. The first two are never given at the same time. So if you completed one of those quests, and he is giving the other one, he won't accept the one you completed. It holds true for HoO as well. You can either get the mammy or mummy quest, and if the other one is being given when you complete the one you have, then it won't be accepted. However, you can get both quests if you have the room in your quest box.

So here's what I did.

I bought oak wood and the other quest was completed (Defense against the dead) and it gave the option to turn over the Anansi quest. So it means both of this quest should be completed together, which i find weird. Shouldnt it be these 2 quests independent from each other like quests too ?

yes they should, most likely that's a bug.

Did you do that on the day you posted this thread? Or today?

I did that on different days. I forgot to SS i dropped 1 oak wood, and it didnt show the option to turnover quest, picked it up and the quest turnover option was shown again. so Im pretty much sure it was the Anansi quest that day.

Now that is weird. I do know that if you have more than one stack of wood, and the one stack is less than 400, you have to drop it to turn that one in.
