Without giving it any thought, list ten movies you really enjoy, off the top of your head in no particular order.

Yeah, I had a few more that came to mind too, but I already hit ten. The idea was for it to reflect a pure, impulsive thought stream. The subconscious association of the phrase "really enjoy" with specific movie titles should more accurately portray what you consider to be a good movie than a pretentious ranked list of top 10 (or whatever) best movies of all time. Yeah, Citizen Kane is good, by the criteria of a professional critic, but its not the first thing that comes to mind if I want to be entertained.

Terrible, I was hoping the community would have more to offer, so I would have something to watch this coming weekend.
@Nirvanna21
Between what you and Cleffy came up with, all that I haven't seen is Riki-Oh and Housu. I'll have to check them out soon.
Anyway, if someone came here with the same intent, here's ten more from me:

this is off-topic. only the obsessives visit this area of the forums. here be dragons.
The Usual Suspects (although it can only really be watched once imo)
Empire Strikes Back
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Reservoir Dogs
Django Unchained
Se7en
Die Hard
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Blade Runner
Toy Story 3
One of my criteria is rewatchability in that if it comes up on TV or w/e I wouldn't mind sitting through the whole thing again or at least through key scenes. Usual Suspects is the only exception but it's just so masterfully done that I had to include it on my list.
PS Harrison Ford is the best
Here's my question, what version of Blade Runner do you recommend o_O, I I have only Final Cut.

I've seen both, and I don't recall any significant difference. Generally, I'll opt for the original theatrical version of anything the first time around.
Edit:
Second thought, I really don't remember it clearly now, but this may be one of those movies that they butchered by trying to work in an alternate ending with the previously unused footage.
...10 more.

Don't worry, most movies are piles of -_- slapped together with a generic plot glorifying past film making. There hasn't been a good movie in years since they are all cookie cutter. You are much better served with Cable Television Series like Game of Thrones, Vikings, and Band of Brothers. It's hard to list good movies because there aren't many good movies. When we look back to movies we watched, there is a sense of meh.

^I concur; however, not one TV series I've enjoyed has ever concluded before it sours on me. I've been watching more Spanish and Korean movies lately, but I hate reading subtitles. I find that, if their is a lot of action or subtleties, I miss them in my peripheral vision while I'm following the dialog. I hate crappy voice acting in the English dubbing too, but sometimes they're a necessary evil.

Yeah, I did like Breaking Bad. Prior to that, the last thing I really followed was X-files. I'm hoping they do better with the new mini-series.
Supernatural was enjoyable, but it should have ended several seasons ago.
I wanted to like Hannibal, but they screwed up the Will Graham character.
Bates Motel I wish they did in the proper period; just wish Norman would stuff his mother already.
Don't recall what else at present. I think that's why I gravitate towards anime. Even if its not so great, I can hold out because I'm only in it for 26 episodes, typically.

I don't watch TV series much, but this has caught my eye something FIERCE!

Series based on Army of the Dead? Sounds promising.

suggestion: how bout postin 10 good movies per genre? (like horror, adventure, anime, mushy whutevs)
Posted 04 August 2015 - 09:02 PM
Too much effort, assume most of them are in my pile...
Posted 04 August 2015 - 11:51 PM
wow. you weren't kidding with the "pile" @_@ i take it back then LOL

I haven't seen anything about an Evil Dead series 'til now; I'll look into it.
Also, forgot about Walking Dead. I was hoping it would get wraped up by now, but they could probably drag it out indefinitly.
The Strain has been watchable, but I have not read the books. If I read the books first, odds are I'd hate it.
8/11/2015 Edit:
10 more. Actually had to think a little, so these probably run counter to my initial premise.
