It seems to be a new forum bug that affects embedded videos. There was a forum upgrade recently and that might be the reason. I'll let someone know
Thanks for the report.

It will also show blank if your in another country, and YouTube is blocked. For example, I am in China right and the videos show blank. I am using my iPhone.
In order for me to make it show I need to use a VPN ( Virtual Private Network ). This will make YouTube think I am in the United States, then I can see the videos in the forums.
But currently it's an issue as the BB code doesn't help.
As I read this thread, I tested it myself and well, the screen turned blank without any video.

Could be the request I put in to have the "Proposals & Suggestions" section moved. After they moved it, and did forum updates... something got messed up.
Heh heh...
Yeah apparently they changed the forums arrangement by moving/merging ...etc

I did mention this to Oda and he is looking into what can be done forum- wise about this but there might also be an issue with the browser that you use. I'm using Chrome and never had a problem seeing videos here. When I saw this topic yesterday, I went to check a few threads where I had seen the videos previously and found that now they were missing for me. But I was able to fix that temporarily by clicking on the little shield next to the star that you use to flag a favorite and allowing the "unsafe" content. There is probably something similar on other browsers too.

Now that you've mentioned it, I've tried it on Firefox too, and it worked.
