As for the effort we needed and still need to fix this, it was actually hard to deal with the socketing information.
Here is the information we have: "2602881441857532 36028801441857536 295839780376576 1087362". Are you able to see what socket card this part has on which socket? What the state of the socket is? Even if this part has a socket or not and if yes, if there's a socket card in the slot? How this part is enchanted? What duration this part has if it has one? Because all of these informations are encoded into this 4 numbers. We had to learn this, because there is no support from Korea.
As for the "Mr. Google Guy", I would prefer if you wouldn't vent your anger by offending other players.
Words fail me because of this statement.
Thank you for enlightening me.
What I'm saying is, I wish you could've told us earlier that this would happen so we didn't have to invest so much time and effort to it, then you can figure out how to work those codes.
No disrespect popcorn, I'm just saying.
I'm not angry, as matter of fact i'm trying to be nice as much as possible to TheZealot, particularly.
I do understand that reading a lot of complains stresses you out. But please, don't make it look like that you're taking sides. If i hurt your feelings, then I am sorry.

I don't take any side. If SoulSight would have said the same to you I would have said the same to him
I just want to keep this topic as clean as possible while understanding your anger and disappointment. And there is no problem if you vent this here on the forums as long as it follows the rules (you know what I mean).
No hard feelings!

I don't know to be honest. I heard things about really bad bugs in Metro City. For example missing monster animations which cause the client to crash. I think we need at least more time to check everything out.

Okay. But I will still hope that it can be back some day after the development takeover is completed.

@Popcorn
Okay great now that you said it's official, is there an official statement on when it will be applied? (or) Are they still working on this fix?)
This Wednesday, next week, next month, next year?
The right way to approach this matter would be to announce what you said earlier, that sockets will be removed and there will not be anymore socket-able IM sets in the future (I think you said this before but not the part about sockets on the ragged will be 100%, surely, absolutely, definately removed). Ever.
Even if you did mention earlier that there will be a fix applied to the Ragged set, you never made it official and set in stone that "Sockets Will Be Removed EVENTUALLY" so all efforts will me deemed useless later, and invest in it at your own risk. Unless of course, the production/support team made this decision just days before you posted this official statement, then it would not be your fault.
I don't care because I don't farm and I get everything simply from IM trading.
However if I were one of those players who farmed day n' night (song lyrics~) to farm the 6* attack cards for the set, I would be pretty upset. (And the joke about the electricity bills, HAHA)
Ya, so now if you could give an "official statement" on when it will be applied, that would be great!

Its a buggy event as said before so not likely I'm guessing. And poppy could u pass a msg to the team to make swift and right decisions the next time there is something similar? I honestly still cant comprehend why it took 8 months when they could simply announce it on the day itself and stopped any possible complains like what has happened
In 100% honesty, people will still and always will complain no matter what decision and how fast WP could've acted on it( Example of this is SC expanders working in pvp took 1 - 2 days to fix and that still caused a giant uproar.) I'm guessing you either don't know or forget WP is still in the process of taking control of DS from Gravity Korea which means for somethings they still have to go through all the chains of command to change items which can take days/week/months.

i feel the pain of WG/FG..............................................................................................................but now i dont feel any pain of the ragged set socket 6*, more feeling like "this is WP, they decide everything."

Tirfing said the taking over was done
Even if the taking over is complete soon, changing things in the client are not as easy as you may think. Did you ever had your hands on a high level language like C++ ? We are don't talking from a bit HTML code or something. A take over process is not only "here you have the infos now you can start", it's a process of learning and testing and such. And something like this can't be done in some weeks. The papers and infos might be shifted, but the taking over process isn't done with only this.

Soooo........that means DS managed to take the next tiny step on the journey?
That's cool.
Yes, I know "just" a tiny step........yes, not much.....blah....
But it's another step, right?
Good job guys. But please never forget to do just one step after another. Even if it takes more time this way, I'm sure all of us prefer to wait for good things to arrive, instead of masses of new bugs arriving and similar things.

Indeed, I quote myself from a few months ago:
And even after the legal obstacles are out of the way, it's still the matter of gathering knowledge about the game's inner workings and building up in-house competence to make improvements.
But when the takeover is 100% complete, I think some kind of official timeplan or list-of-priorities should be revealed to us players so we can have our says.

Was just informing stormhaven. Didnt have any intention to say that programming stuff was easy and all. My disappointment is only the fact that this decision couldve been made on the day itself right after removing ragged from mixboard, but for whatever reasons which I would really like to know, why they took 8 months to come to this conclusion. Its pretty absurd since removing sockets is the best way to go abt doing this but what is causing the indecisiveness, to be unable to agree upon this solution on day 1

The possible reason was likely due to the number of them in existance that have sockets of varying grades. Not just elemental, but other sockets as well. This likely causing some debate on whether or not it's right for literally hundreds of thousands of gold invested.
Pretty much every piece of IM equipment is socket restricted so it's possible the set was never intended to be socket-able just like every other IM set. It's likely because it was brought up in recent times about how OP it potentially is with the right investment, the fact that it's "Seasonally Rare," meaning only available outside trading other players on Halloween assuming the events work, and how recently artifact costumes are now able to be unbounded allowing for easier transfer of the set.

So, please, tell me:
What sockets are socketed here? Are there sockets on this item? Are they active or destroyed? What cards are socketed on the active sockets? What enchants does this item have? What duration?
2602881441857532, 36028801441857536, 295839780376576, 1087362
You have one day to tell me. And there is nobody you can ask, because nobody knows.
Let's see when you're ready with it.
The production team didn't know how the solution will look like at the beginning. If it could be managed to "decrypt" these numbers.
I always told everyone that it's worked on a solution and that the production don't want to have socketable IM items/sets in the game. So again - you should have seen this coming.
