Transparent background looks better. Boxes made it look like it came from a child's toy.

First set is much nicer to look at, works at a glance (more emphasis on colour distinction) and suits the tone of RO more.

this is a great idea! and those icons are super cute. the clear background looks nice on the default theme, but will definitely be hard to read for those using the deviant theme. would be cool if you could do something like the widgets and have a short description of the rank on mouse-over instead of having to link to this thread, but idk if that would be possible.

Just make 2 versions then: one for the default forum theme and one for the deviant theme.

These ranking s could be taken advantage of,, for example, im an S rank Warlock, then i would say to the newbie, buy these items... Are there goes my vendors selling/ pubbing those items. Happened a lot back in pRO where star players would give advices for their advantage
