We've got this bug listed, but having trouble reproducing it reliably. It affects more than just Holy Light, I've seen it on other skills.
If this happens a lot, can you provide us with more information.. Maybe even a video?

From what I've heard, it happens if the monster you are targeting dies before the cast finishes.

Yeah i also experienced this bug aswell, it gets really annoying by the time. The only thing i know, that the character turns normal again is to go to your character selection and reconnect. I hope this bug gets fixed. :/
