So... I'm thinking to come back to RO after a break and I found an old SinX but I dunno what build to do with him. I've job level 50 to SinX (so I can't go with Dual Daggers Critical)... but I want a build that can do some MvPs... any suggestion?

 

I'm level 84/40 currently... all stat and skill points reseted.

No good gear nor money =)

crit katar or dd da also can mvp. so dont worry too much about it. But in term of gear cost, i feel that crit katar is somehow easier to build compare to dd da. For leveling tho, you might want to stick with dex katar build. You will level up with RC (which depend on dex to hit enemy), and slowly work your way up to crit katar or dd da if you want to mvp.

Try to build your stats around hbp bonus if you are using one, and get a leeching headgear.

Yea... I just found a +7 HBP.

vip is helpful but not required

if you're working with hbp you need 90 base in the stat in order to maximize the benefits. I don't think you're using all the stat points available to you, the level cap is now 175. use the calc here to play around with your stats:

Yep I used a level 150 base but just to guide myself for while.

I was gonna make a new one for levle 175 and post here soon.

VIP is very nice, but not required, it will be very difficult to level up but you can use battle manuals for some things like turn-ins. I would recommend leveling the SinX with meteor assault in TIs until you're GX. Then go rolling cutter, all of this with a decent katar, preferably krishna with fs enchants and hunter fly cards.

 

I like this build for katar hybrid

No problem, my hybrid Gx does have 120 agi which makes 193 super easy to hit. It's not a bad choice at all =D

you can get fake vip with reset stones. it allows you access to vip only dungeons like overlook.

you can also purchase 1 week of vip for 2 USD; you don't need to buy a month at a time.

Yea. It would cost 6,66 in my currency but I guess it's worth if I'm enjoying the game.

also if you eventually pick up fallen angel wings, you get stat bonuses for every 20 base in a stat. hence instead of 9x in a stat you might as well pump it to 100. you probably can get away with less dex while getting to 100 on str/vit.

as far as skill build is concerned, venom impress and crs is way more useful than weapon blocking and counterslash. i would also recommend against maxing out full throttle. the skill has a 1 hr cd (even at level 5 it's only 30 second benefit)!

i would also not bother with maxing out both SD AND MA. MA is useful if you're autoattacking a lot w/ sapha cloth, but you will not be manually casting MA at all as a GX (that's what RC is for).

About the skill... I actually don't know where to put points on. I'm using MA 10 and Grimtooth to level now and I'll reset on level 99 on Prontera.

Hi,

 

I`d really look into that VIT.

Max HP and stun immunity is important when soloing the current instances (and still within future updates).

You should try to bring it up to 90 by lowering your DEX and tweking your LUK.

I used both to mob until becoming a GX. MA if you can 1-2 shot them, grimtooth if you have to face tank for too long. Mob up, backslide, hide, and GR spam. 

 

MA is much more direct, but it's cast time and self centered AOE will involve you face tanking a lot -- the good thing is that it can stun enemies so often the first hit will get a few off your case. I did end up spamming lots of carrots while leveling with MA (using an earth deleter card.)

When lvling my GXs i always went VIT 90 before going AGI and STR, but my gear was better then what u have now. 

The extra healing from itens, larger HP pool to tank mobs and the added reduction of HBP works really well.

 

WIthout leech headgear you will run out of SP very quickly using MA, keep in mind that its also interruptible, so youj`ll need Orlean or Phen to lvl properly with it.

If you have funds, go for MA. Buy strawberrys and grind Petites (do the Bounty Board). 

You`ll get to GX very quickly, if VIP.

Unfortunatelly I don't have much money nor gear. I'm trying to sell some stuff but its not really worth much.
