Can I run some gears by you guys to make sure I'm shopping for the right stuff?  Specifically, what should I shoot for with my two RWC accessories.  Which enchants and should I slot?

 

+9 RTE (AS cards)

+9 EMH - not sure what card.  KK, SW, Dark Pin?

+9 Orleans - again, not sure what card.  Could use porcellio for default leveling. .  

+9 Temporal dex boots (EA4, RAM)

No clue for accessories.  I've read they're very situational.

 

Already have +9 immune FAW, elemental armors w/ marcs, variants until I can get the temporals, and some shields. 

 

 

Feel free to critique and/or add anything I've omitted.  Thanks guys.

120 dex is recommended for using temporal dex boots to reduce fixed casting time for acid bomb. since that's something you'll definitely want to get (unless you're not planning on bombing at all) most people will also go for 100-120 int for cast time reduction via stats. with the level cap update and so many more stat points not much point using cast reduction gear anymore imo

Yeah, people have been going 120 INT, 120 DEX and CC everything. I'll be honest, it's super efficient when solo'ing many MVP's. And with Kiels, it becomes insane DPS.

 

Since to get insta-cast with stats you must accumulate 530 by combining INT+(DEX*2), getting 120 on both sounds like the way to go. 90ish STR for bombing (strings make bombing better and can be more burst damage), 90ish VIT for survival and you're set. :3

Okay sounds good.  Assuming you keep agi/luk at 1 you could either get str or vit to 100?  Which would be better?  As for gears, just damage increasing gears with little/no needs for cr gear?

agi you can leave at 1, luk is worth investing in after you get 90+ str since it gives some atk for less stat points. for vit you want exactly 94+6 (with job bonuses) for stun immunity. then you can use this: http://ro.doddlercon...koptimizer.html to optimise your atk between str and luk

Is there other calcs fornoptimizatuon? Like INT and LUK or DEX and LUK???

get a set of elemental orlean's to switch between, porcellio is fine to default

 

ideally, you'd have three pairs of temp dex boots to switch between - ea4/ld when someone's tanking for you, ea4/bp when you're tanking and ea4/rm when you need to cart cannon ghost/low vit targets. for general use i'd recommend ea4/ld or ea4/bp.

 

accessories can be medal of honors, rwc pendants w/ spell enchants or fs/atk% rwc rings. i like to just default spell3/3 pendants for the cast time reduction

if you need faster cast, go for spell 3/3. if you need more damage, go for fs/atk%. cards include golden scaraba, smokie, phen (not recommended in a spell pendant) or kafra blossoms.

I'm just wondering If both INT and DEX is 120, and using your formula:
INT+(DEX*2)

120+(120*2) = 360

You'll only have 360 and not 530, how can you achieve instant cast that way? Please tell me if i missed something. Thanks.

Not saying you're wrong, but why would ld or bp be better than rm for a CC build?

i didn't say they were better, since out of the three rm gives the highest damage for cc when it procs. i recommended ld or bp for general use since they proc more often than rm (the only way you can proc rm is through demonic fire).

plus, they don't drain your sp like crazy which would be a huge pain in the ass if you were constantly proccing rm

EA10, realistically, your dex and int will be high enough to remove almost all the variable cast time, and the more damage u do, less time it takes to kill.

slightly off topic; how much difference in dmg btw +8 physical set and +8 kingbird set? is it worth the zeny to invest on +8 kingbird set? coz i already have +8 physical set atm, which i share it with most of my chars.

physical set is stronger in most cases, would only loose in  terms of CC dmg to a kingbird set + Inteligent earring/pendant combo giving 5 int. Kingbird set maxed gives 40 atk and 2% ranged dmg(hit from armor is useless for gene), maxed physical set gives 50 atk, 3% atk/aspd, 1% and 100hp

But the damage difference is not too much noticeable, imo is not worth the billions zeny gap.

yeah afaik the physical set does sliiightly more damage than the kingbird set but not worth it imo.
