Firelock soldier pathing in amatsu dun 1 needs fixing

game makes you walk all over crazy before pathing to a firelock soldier that was clicked on or else just stands stationary requiring moving manually to the cell next to the firelock to hit it (nothing in the way)

 

this is a VERY old bug almost a decade old and shouldnt be there

That's because it's a maze with invisible walls.It's a decade old because it's a feature and not a bug.

no, nothing to do with maze. doesnt happen with miyabis. like your 4 cells away from a visible firelock inside the room your in. and you click it and your char either doesnt move and attack or you need to manually navigate to the cell next to it to start attacking, or for some reason the char moves 4 cells back and then 8 cells forward to get to it

I have seen that kind of behaviour only with invisible mazes.It's probably the client's pathfinding system that's screwing up.

I have seen this bug happen countless of times since i started playing X years ago, it usually happens with ranged enemies and when playing a melee class.
You click on a ranged mob to melee-attack, but instead of going towards the monster the player character moves away a few cells and waits 1~2 seconds, then the monster position gets updated, and ater the position update the player character finally runs to the ranged enemy and attacks.

It probably has something to do with too slow monster position updates from the server/the server not sending position updates fast enough.
