what is the point of gaining 1 aspd when you are losing 2 aspd just to get it?

But... in this thread, it doesn't depend on the setup at all since we KNOW his setup already. His setup is clearly near capping point and anything(give or take)185+ takes a heavy amount of % aspd or agi to gain 1 flat aspd.

Pegs Ear Wings>4% (assuming he is 150 :v)

+9 i.Faw (aspd/aspd/fatal4)>16% + 5%(faw bonus)

+9 T.Luk (AD/LD)>10%

2 x Bako.>20%

 

Weapon penalty>2 dagger.
run the number through iro stat simulator assuming 100 base agi and no outside buff.
full setup> 3 flat aspd, 55% aspd
final aspd> 189

now change faw to fatal3/fatal3/aspd
full setup>4 flat aspd, 39%aspd (55% decrease by 16% by changing the faw)
final aspd> 186

assuming full buffs, first set will give you 193 aspd, while the second set will still give you full aspd.
so in conclusion, yes, fatal3/fatal3/aspd is better.

To gain +1 flat aspd

185 - 12.5% equip aspd
186 - 14.3% equip aspd
187 - 16.7% equip aspd
188 - 20% equip aspd
189 - 25% equip aspd
190 - 33.3% equip aspd

192 - 100% equip aspd

Interesting, at 188 aspd loki's mask gives me 1 full aspd. This is not counting flat aspd additions mind you, as with those I'd be at 190 and loki's mask puts me at 191. Both with katars and daggers.

^aspd decimals count but are not shown on status window and they are always rounded down on the status window. So you could have 188.xx aspd, and loki mask gave you a 0.xx bump which gave you enough to get to 189, making it look like you got full +1 aspd but in reality you only got +0.xx aspd.

Possible, I'll mess around with some minor aspd boost stuff later to see if I can get it at an exact cusp, so I can be certain I'm not accidentally at the higher end of the current interval. 

 

EDIT: confirmed, yeah, it's just 1 point -- but it works across the board, whether I have the backpack on, the temporal agi boots on, or my whatever else. 

 

If I remove all agi gear to set my base rate at 184, the mask adds 2 points (this is likely that I am at 184.xx tho as a single point of agi drops me from 183 to 182.

 

Point is, however, that it consistently adds 1 point, even when I'm at 190 (it boosts me to 191, tho here I am willing to see it being a case of me being at 190.xx since maxing 193 relies on using a gaurana candy or some other agi boost, like food.)
