While ingame i hardly see any bandit > rogue player

almost all are infiltrator > assassin. Any particular reason why is this so? I'm nearly changing class for Thief and would pretty much want to know which path to choose.

It's just preference I guess. That and people like Infiltrators more for PvP I think, since a lot more players like PvP instead of just PvE. Personally, the bandit class tree is my favorite. Just go with what interests you the most.

High-leveled bandits are a pain in PvP though, since their most useful skills are super-armored and can barely be stopped. They also are very efficient at farming from lvl.2X onwards with several low cooldown area of effect spells.

I was playing my rogue earlier. It's surprisingly fun, very simple to play, and has better damage output than I expected

Rogue is my next class that I will level to 81+

And to be honest it is "the" class for me. I simply love to play it. Till today I have played and still play about 15 bandits. This is no joke.

Do I play any other class?

 

Yes, exactly one char......a ninja. It happened because I had to promise someone that my next char won't be a bandit......I kept the promise.

 

But I have to admit my bandit army is still growing.

While it's not 'my' class it's still fun to play around with them, a whole lot of aoes and spinning/dancing.. and moonwalking! 

And I've actually seen quite alot of them recently.

I've roughly tried both class. It seems like rogue is more focus on aoe dps and assassin more on single target dps.
