August Beach Party

 

August 8 ~ August 15 ~ August 22 ~ August 29

 

It's August, which means beach season in Rune-Midgarts! So grab your bathing suit, because each Saturday I'll be hosting a beach party on Freyja and Odin channel 9, and I hope to see you there!

During each week's event, take a screenshot of the party and submit it in this thread to be entered into a drawing for some fabulous prizes! Each week will see more entries and more prizes, all through August! At the end of the month there will be a drawing for a grand prize of a 7 day Poring VIP - all entries will be included for the Grand Prize drawing.

 

Details for each week will be posted at the beginning of the week.

Rules

• Screenshot must be taken during the party. Including the crowd and/or my character will help to verify this.
• Minor editing of screenshots is allowed and encouraged; however, it should still be recognizable as a screenshot.
• One entry per week per player. If you have entered a previous week, you may enter again.
• Entries must include the entry form. Entries submitted without it will be disqualified.
• There will be one winner from each server per drawing. In the entry form, please specify the server you took the screenshot on and the character you were logged in on. If you wish for any prize to be delivered to another character, you may add that character's name after.
• You will have 24 hours to submit entries (ends Sundays at 8am), at which time the drawing will begin.
• Prizes will be sent out the week following each drawing.

Tips:

• Disable your UI (Alt+Z) for a nice screenshot!

Location: Izlude Hill (near Vador)

Note: I know that Izlude can often be a death trap with fall damage. If you have trouble with that, please use the Kafra Flight from Izlude Town to the beach. You can then either walk along the beach or swim.

Location: Jawaii Love Island

Prize: Tongtong Pukui (30 day)

 

If you need a safe route through Ocean Island, just swim around the East/South side until you reach a hut on the South-West corner of the island. The NPC there will warp you to Love Island.

Might I suggest having different times for each weekend so that different time zones can participate as well? I get that the time is probably because it's the best time for Salsa, but I reckon you'll be seeing the same people participate each week if you do it this way. Just food for thought.

Certainly! I did have this thought while planning, but I completely forgot about it

 

Let's do 7-8 am this week, then next week will be 1-2pm. I'll do a schedule of "1 hour before Happy Hour" and rotate through each of them by week. That will give a decent spread of time slots I think.

I went to the store the other day to buy food, and while I was making a list I had the feeling I was forgetting something. The one thing I forgot was salsa. I am ashamed.

Huh, I didn't even notice that the regular one is Male-only. Looking at it I'd have thought it would be Female-only if anything.

 

Gender-specific costume items like that are the worst!

Although I saw this a bit too late, it doesn't appear to be untradable, so you should be all set. However, temporary items that have been activated cannot be traded, so just don't activate it if you need to trade.
