Patch Notes

*Boxter will be updated to accept a few older items. Please note that not all items in boxes will appear on boxter.
*It appears that the VIP Bonus event for classic did not work so we will be running it this week with a slightly increased bonus.
*IT Guy is at our IDC trying to get the Classic Sakray Character server to talk to the login servers. Once that is fixed the challenge dungeon monsters will gain their stats
*Next week the fishing event from last year will be returning to classic. There will be a new addition to this event coming in september for TLAPD
*Pulling MVP card information on the server. We will not be releasing who has what but this will let us determine the the numbers and look for bad cards.

 

*Improvement to party system from Section 9: 

 

Display party HP bars instantly when party members appear on screen--either a recent cached one, or 1/1 if unavailable. Will hopefully reduce accidental KSing by enabling players to tell instantly if someone is a party member or not.

I'd like the monsters to put up more of a fight when landed.  That part was the most fun in anticipating what was going to come next.  Not that the octopus would do it, but if it had Phantom Thrust followed by Guillotine Tentacle, that would be quite something.

I believe so. I asked (omg bias behind the scenes action) about getting the info after he finished with the god item searches and he said that they could pull the data for carded items during maintenance, I have no idea if he was already planning it based on peoples responses in the god item thread or not.

 

If people are curious/missed it Campitor has done the research into God item ownership on Classic and has posted the findings here. There was also interest from players into research about MVP cards so it seems like he's following up on that in a similar manner.

That is "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, a Canadian born pro wrestler who passed away this week. 

 

He was one of the main guys during the 80s golden age of wrestling. He played a "heel", or villain character who did all sorts of outrageous things to make crowd mad and make the good guy "face" wrestlers look more heroic. In this era, a lot of pro wrestlers were very bad at talking on microphones, but Roddy Piper was probably the best. He starred in the John Carpenter cut hit movie "They Live" and is responsible for one of the most iconic lines in film history

what bonus was/is this? will it be for ppl who were vip at the time, or are vip now?
