Hunter Bow is better nowadays, Orc Archer* used to be amazing.

I don't think you can put a slot on OAB. In any case, unslotted Hunter Bow is enough, imo. Once you're a ranger, you can equip an elven bow.

Just use a +5 Hunter's Bow unslotted. You should be getting into Elven Bow range pretty quickly anyway. Hunter's Bow is a lot better than OAB for Hunters just because you can buy the arrows from NPC.
