Basicly The Magic Is Everywhere event goes like this.

 

• To get boxes, you need to kill MOBs.
• Then you open the boxes and you can get costume that are pony related, (If you are lucky)
• You can buy a Key from IM, that will make you have 100% to get something from the box.

The coupons are from disassembling the event costumes. I think they were unnecessarily heavy and had a decent npc selling price.

How high is the chance to actually get something out of this boxes, if you have no IM key(s)?

Does someone happen to know this?

 

 

Somehow I have a really bad and strange feeling regarding this.......event.

I'm normaly a happy to go person and open minded to about everything. But this is one of the rare cases I'm not able to, cause I kinda feel fooled.

 

Sorry, this might be my DS personality popping up now, but I just hate it to be forced to use IM to be able to participate 100% in any event.

 

But hey! Maybe I just go on collecting the boxes and sell those to other players.

I'll put it this way, I never got one without using a key the first year. after about 50 random boxes and still nothin, I stopped caring.

I got some from the boxes without using keys, but it is a very low probability. Some people are just luckier than others though in this game. I tend to be not one of them. It's my personal belief that the GMs randomly curse accounts when they are made.

Last year at this time my friend and I were still actively leveling and we got tons of boxes. Had no problem getting the hair and tails tho not always matching ones ofc. You'll get more boxes from mobs that are the right level for you and the more you get, the better your chances. And luck always pays a part in stuff like this. Worst case scenario, you can buy the tail or hair that you're missing from a player's shop. The keys from the IM are just for those who want to use them. They certainly aren't required. I never bought a single key last year and got everything I wanted eventually.

 

As far as events go, this really isn't a biggie. My advice is to keep leveling and just consider the boxes as a little bonus during this month.

How long is this event going on? I'll be heading back to the United States tomorrow, so i'll be able to play.

Conflicts with friends here in China, so I don't use their computers anymore.
